Andrea Celeste, born in Tuscany and artistically raised in Genova, a supreme voice that spans from Jazz to Gospel, from Pop to R'n'B and soul. She has perfomed virtually in any Jazz festival in Italy and several international events. Critics have compared her to Anita Baker, Diana Krall and Eva Cassidy. Andrea Celeste presents in 2014 three main live projects to please even the most demanding international audiences. 1) Live Jazz quartet show, singing timeless classics and her own material from her CD, 2) “Music: Soul of every Movie”, a wonderful tribute to Ennio Morricone, 3) “Singing Italian songwriters” a tribute to famous songwriters of Italy and her adoptive city Genova.

to Soundgarden, each song is reduced to essence and becomes a "pocket song", easily portable through time and from one genre to another. The cello loses his merely classical capacity, continuously gaining a new and unusual personality: thanks to "borderline" techniques, it turns into a bass, a guitar, a percussion instrument. In addition to the acoustic sound, loops, vocal effects, flute, kazoo and iPad complete the arrangements, creating a unique and incredibly varied sound. Stefano Cabrera is the leader and Cello of Gnu Quartet. Together with his partner, a pure talent singer Flavia Barbacetto, they perform a classy, club-like and popular show, made of continuous changes of style and magnificent elegant sounds. Vittorio De Scalzi is a living legend of both Rock/Prog and Pop Italian music. In his 44 years career, started in 1968 with the NEW TROLLS, he wrote some 250 songs published and performed thousands of live sets both in Italy and worldwide with the band and in solo. The artist alternates incredible capacity on his piano, organ, classic and electric guitar, backed up by a very powerful “blues-like” voice, the unmistakable trademark of all New Trolls hits. This solo show features his hits with New Trolls as well as famous hits from other artists whom he collaborated with (Fabrizio De Andrè, Mina, Anna Oxa…). This show can be played from 1 to 5 musicians and shapes up in different ways every single time.

A “strong push” live set that celebrates one of the bands of this Century, where original sounds melt with electronic or rediscover a baroque cleanliness of the Muse composition. The type of live set we called GNU QUARTET play MUSE is a combination of music, sound effects, video projections and laser, to enrich and maximize the impact on audience, usually played in mid size clubs less frequently on theater stage.

It is NOT a cover band show, rather a tribute, definitely a revisited music journey through the Muse production. It is music 100%, there are no voices to influence the experience of recollecting the classical architecture of the songs. The combined sounds of flute, violin, viola and cello, frequently backed up by sound FX and electronic loops, build drama and crescendos that involve the audience progressively and constantly.

A 42 year long music project now plays around the world
It was 1971 when 4 young Italian musicians recorded a groundbreaking album together with Academy Award Winner, Maestro Luis Enriquez Bacalov, combining classical/baroque music with rock progressive. The very first experiment of its gender in music history. Before them, some tried the experiment of playing their music with an orchestra and a few other artists featured orchestras in their album tracks. Concerto Grosso per i NEW TROLLS was conceived expressly as a combination of classical and rock, revisiting the Concerto Grosso formula played in royal courts as a duel between strings and soloists often on opposed stages. It was some kind of Prog Manifesto, back then. You'll be surprised to test this live show against the passing of time and hear/see them play it live in this current millennium. YES, the guys (with leader Vittorio De Scalzi original author and lead vocal on all Concerto Grosso albums) are still rocking and we are proud to announce their will to export this immortal sound around the globe.

The new show was performed in 2013 in Baja Prog festival (Mexicali, MEX) and in Kawasaki Tokyo (JPN), with excellent reception from both audience and media. Leader Vittorio De Scalzi put together a very strong quartet of musicians (with Andrea Maddalone on guitars and vocals, Francesco Bellia on bass and vocals, Giorgio Bellia on drums and vocals) with additional special guest Roberto Izzo (first violin and orchestra director on FULL version) of Gnu Quartet. The set list features all the movements from Concerto Grosso 1, 2 and 3 (total 9) plus most of the Seven Season material plus some rock/prog hits of the 70’s New Trolls production. Concerto Grosso original lyrics are in English. What’s unique about Concerto Grosso live show is that there are 3 different and alternative versions to the show, chosen according to location, size audience, production budget.

SETTING UP CONCERTO GROSSO LIVE
MUSICIANS & TECH CREW: The total crew from Italy is 7 to 8 people (including musicians, sound tech & management) STRING ORCHESTRA: For the FULL version, a string orchestra must be provided by local promoter management. The ideal size is 15. 4 first violin /4 second violin/3 viola/3 cello/1 oboe. Minimum requirement: 1 violin/1 viola/1 cello/1 oboe. The orchestra is directed by New Trolls Roberto Izzo. Partitures will be provided ahead of time for practicing. One day before show M°Izzo and the orchestra do the reading and rehersals. TECH REQUIREMENTS: Full backline is required (detailed list available) Adequate stage dimension according to the chosen formula. LOGISTICS: Band requires one full day before show on location for reading and rehersals, possibly two when time zone is over 3 hours +/-Italian time.

VIDEO & SOUND RECORDING: Recording the show (both Video and Audio) is strictly forbidden unless agreed by the band management. MEDIA PROMOTION: During the entire stay on location the band is available to interviews and promo with local media (arranged through management). Given the artists availability, we can agree on interviews and “live showcases” in other periods (press conference on concert announcement) MERCHANDISING: All goods on sale at concert location are original and trademark of the artist. It is possible to contract sub license with local management /promoter. A LITTLE HISTORY OF NEW TROLLS
Vittorio De Scalzi and Nico Di Palo. An artist duet whose musical production counts over 150 songs , 20 albums published and millions of records sold worldwide. They started in Genova (Italy) in 1967, composing their first album with the top Italian songwriter Fabrizio De Andrè, and worked since then together in order to produce a variety of beat-progressive-rock-pop-classical songs that cover 40 years of the history of Italian Music. In 1971 they released the album which was to become their trademark: Concerto Grosso per i New Trolls. The album was a fantastic example of early symphonic rock experimentation, with classical music arrangements written by Academy Award Winner Maestro Luis Enriquez Bacalov. As the first effort in Italy to merge rock music with classical treatments, this album is still considered one of the most important Italian progressive rock releases ever. The progressive rock period include a number of albums performed both in English and Italian, that made New Trolls achieve the fame of leading Italian Prog Band. In 1998 New Trolls ended playing and publishing records with such name.
