Trenton 26th December 1776

In November 1776 the American Army went to Pennsylvania and the British were following them but they stopped because they will continue resuming their advance in Philadelphia.

The Continental Army had less than 5.000 soldiers and trying to defeat the British, they crossed the Delaware River on Christmas Day to get to Trenton. They attacked by surprise on the morning of the 26th and they won the battle.

General Washington was not satisfied only with the victory of Trenton.He attacked the British in New Jersey.

The third of January , Washington eluded Cornwallis and headed north of Princeton.Washington managed to lead the British for much of southern New Jersey.He Got 8000 new recruits

Monmouth 28th June 1778After the victory at Saratoga,

Washington and His Men Spent the winter of 1777-1778 in nearby Valley Forge, Desperately short of food and supplies. There were two major events that happened: one of them was the recognition by France of the independence of the United States. And the other was the work of a German volunteer named Friedrich Wilhelm Augustus von Steuben. Attack on Monmouth

 General Henry Clinton evacuated his troops from Philadelphia and moved them to New York. While they were getting there the Americans attacked them and they fighted on June 28 near Mourmouth, New Jersey.Many men died in this battle as the high temperatures as the combat, but British lost almost 1200 men while Americans only lost 500.Monmouth was the most important battle in the war.
