Welcome Message from The President of the Pan-Arab Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Dear Friends and Colleagues, It gives me great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the 7th Congress of The Pan-Arab Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 9-11 March, 2013.
On behalf of The Pan-Arab Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, King Fahd Hospital – Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be hosting The 7th Congress of the Pan Arab Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, together with the 2nd Jeddah International Rehabilitation Conference. The Pan-Arab Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was established in 1995 and comprises member Arab countries. All of us are united in the belief that the best possible care should be provided to our patients. We share a common vision – advancement of the science of PM&R.
During the 7th Congress of PAPMR, participants will have the opportunity to share the latest knowledge and experience, to exchange ideas with worldwide experts and high distinguished international speakers from different scientific areas related to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as to meet prominent key scientists or find international partners for future academic and scientific cooperation.
Your active participation to the congress through the presentation of your work on any of the thematic topics of the congress reflects our wishes. Your submissions will be most welcome and your particular contributions highly appreciated.

It is a matter of immense pleasure and privilege to invite you to join the 7th Congress of the Pan-Arab
Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the 2nd Jeddah International Rehabilitation
Conference to be a part of this event which will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 9-11 March, 2013.
Currently, Medical Rehabilitation is a widely recognized health care profession which is multi-dimensional.
However, the profession is constantly evolving and physiatrists are taking on additional and diverse
responsibilities, thereby making it essential for professionals to keep themselves updated with the latest
knowledge and hone their skills to perfection in order to maintain growth and development while staying
true to the roots of the profession.
The theme of the Conference is designed to be a platform for the presentation of international researches
in rehabilitation technology and physical medicine, and the discussion of new rehabilitation treatments,
together with a stimulating scientific program that features a combination of plenary lectures, scientific
paper presentations and workshops.

For abstracts, the Scientific Committee invites you to submit your original works, case reports and reviews for oral or poster presentation on the following dates:
Instructions to authors• Abstracts must be submitted according to the above mentioned deadline.
• The text of each abstract is limited to 350 words using Times New Roman font at 12 points in size and line spacing of 1.5 lines and it should be written in accordance with the IMRC regulation (introduction, method, result, and conclusion)
• Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstract will be emailed on the above mentioned deadline.
• Authors whose abstracts are accepted for presentation will be expected to attend the meeting and the Scientific Committee will decide whether it will be presented orally or through a poster at the time of notification of acceptance.
• Authors of accepted abstracts must register for the Congress by March 1st, 2013.

About JeddahJeddah is a city located in Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea coast. It is an important urban center in western Saudi Arabia. It is the largest city in Makkah Province, the largest seaport on the Red Sea, an important commercial hub and second largest city in Saudi Arabia after the capital, Riyadh.
Jeddah is the most cosmopolitan and tolerant of all the cities of Saudi Arabia, hosting expatriates from around the world. It's also the second commercial center in the Middle East.
Jeddah is approximately 85 kms. away from Haram (Makkah), and about 390 kms. from Madinah.
