The 6 Emotional Attackers Inside Your Mind
My mentor Jim Rohn said it best…
Don’t become a victim of yourself. Forget about the thief waiting in
the alley—what about the thief in your mind?
Jim Rohn
Are you aware with the fact that the outcomes of our lives
100% depends with how we deal with our inner-lives or what
we all call, our minds? Believe it or not but our minds are more
powerful than we believe it to be. It’s not what happens
outside of our lives which control our destinies and the paths
we choose. It’s what happens inside of us…our minds because
it’s our minds which makes decisions and controls how we
react, not the outside world.
If we’re not careful, if we’re not feeding our mind with the right
things, slowly but surely, our lives will start a massive downfall.
The quality of thoughts that we entertain on a daily basis
affects how we look and react to things. A powerful
thought/philosophy that I love to live by is…
What you feed your stomach to nourish your body is as critical as
what you feed your mind.
The reason why I believe in this is because there is a huge
difference in our bodies if all we do is feed it trash compared
to feeding it healthy food. If all we eat is junk 24/7, then the
quality of our lives drop. We feel weak, sluggish, bloated and
we don’t have the energy to really get anything done. Based
from my experience, when I eat healthy, I’m driven, focused
and extremely active with a heck of a lot of energy. The same
thing applies with our minds. If all we feed it is crap we get
from the news, then we produce crappy thoughts. However, if
we’re focused on absorbing empowering and inspirational
information, we have the opportunity to grow and see life
from a different perspective. If we listen to sad and depressed
people all day, then we will be depressed as well even if there
is no reason at all. If we listen to happy people, then it will rub
off to us and we will be happy as well. [Related Blog Post: 15

There Are 6 Emotional Attackers Inside Your Mind…
1.) Fear
Fear can literally cripple us. It can turn
a super-talented basketball player into the worst player on the
court. Fear isn’t actually real at all. It’s just a bunch of crap that
we tend to play in our minds. You know how I know? Fear is
actually an acronym. It stands for Fantasized Experiences
Appearing Real a.k.a. fear. Most of the time, the reason why we
tend to fear something is because of a past experience
whether it’s something someone told us or experienced
firsthand. There is a boundary on what to be fear and what
not to fear. I certainly wouldn’t walk the street 4 in the
morning alone.
Fear becomes intensely powerful once we allow it to
overthrow our own minds and lose control. Remember, the
superhero and the coward both feel the exact same fear when
faced with trouble. The only difference, the hero stands up
and faces it when needed to while the coward looks for the
nearest bush or hole to hide in. Stand up…face your fears and
feel the adrenaline and excitement as you get to see a whole
new different part of life that you’ve never experienced before.
Here’s a good take shared by Adam Sicinski on the iqmatrix
blog.
Our fears are debilitating things that rob us of our energy, our
dreams and our opportunity for redemption. They are very much
like rubber bands flinging us back and forth into our comfort
zones the moment we try and expand the possibilities.
Our fears are indeed horrible figments of our imaginations, much
like dreams — seemingly real, yet completely fictional occurrences
taking shape within the recesses of our minds.
Our fears are not simply isolated events that have no impact on
our current reality and future circumstances. In fact, they may
indeed have a significantly larger and more influential impact on
our lives then we give them credit for. – www.blog.iqmatrix.com/
2.) Indifference
When you say, let it be or leave it alone or
I’ll deal with it tomorrow and you forget, you’re drifting. A
drifter has no set destination or goals in life. Some do, but
never take the necessary action to make it a reality. They just
waste all their energy and time chilling and relaxing. These are
people who are simply lost. Next thing you know, you look in
the mirror, you’ve got gray hair with a face full of wrinkles and
guess what…no smile. That’s the saddest thing ever. A man
who had a full life but decided NOT to live it to the fullest
because of all the excuses made. Well guess what, whatever
happens in your life, you’re the only one to blame. You’ve
made the decision and you’ve got the effect.
Set a goal…an outcome and write it down. Take massive
action. Challenge yourself. Don’t ever be a drifter because the
drifter’s mind is a mind that was successfully conquered by the
enemy. This is what you call hell on earth. Why? Time is
wasted. Energy is wasted. Opportunities and dreams…stolen.
Become a man with a mission that’s actually following through
no matter what. Let those enemies feel your presence. Not the
other way around.
3.) Indecision
This is the thief. It steals dreams, goals
and opportunities from people. It turns a man with talent into
an “Average Joe”. After people make a decision, they are
instantly aligned with an outcome. The problem comes when
people don’t make a decision and when they can’t decide
which then leads to them not making a decision at all. Always
remember and keep in mind that everything beautiful in life is
ALWAYS at the other side of a big and bold decision.
If you want to be successful, you need to be an expert at
calling the shots. Why? Because you’re in charge of your life.
No one else should dictate what you should do. They can give
and share their opinions but it’s totally up to you if you decide
to follow through with that. The choice is yours. Don’t ever let
your current circumstances dictate the decisions you make. If
you know something is best for you, then make the decision.
Put your intentions out into the universe and make it happen.
If it doesn’t work, well guess what, you now know what doesn’t
work. Keep taking action until it does work. We never fail…we
only learn.
4. Doubt
We doubt our friends, our family, the government,
our environment and worst of all…ourselves. We can’t let
doubt destroy our chances to experience an amazing and
awesome life. When an opportunity presents itself, doubt can
lead to us saying no because we’re all busy doubting
everything. We can’t and should never let doubt take over our
lives. Remember, it’s our life. We’re in control here. That’s the
way it should be, not the other way around. Instead of
doubting, believe. Believe in your friends, believe in your
family and most importantly, believe in yourself. Because
when it comes to making your dreams a reality, it’s all about
believing in yourself…who you are and what you’re capable of
doing.
Focus on growing daily. Become a positive person. Master a
skill and that’s when you’ll remove self-doubt. Be a go-getter.
Chase after things instead of constantly doubting the
outcome. Whatever the outcome, good or bad, deal with it.
That’s part of the process of becoming a successful leader.
You’re in charge. Lead your life into your own understanding
of greatness. Don’t ever doubt yourself. Instead, believe in
yourself even when the odds seem off. That way, you can say
that you gave it your all. Because when you give it your all, you
know you’ve done your best. The best thing to do is learn and
move on. You’ll be surprised what you’re capable of when you
believe and take action. So just do it.
5.) Worry
I don’t like the word “worry”. I
never have. Instead, I use the word “concern” which has a
more positive effect to our subconscious mind. I used to be a
worrier to the point it would take over my body…take over my
life. It NEVER did me any good. The funny thing…the things I
worried about never even happened. It wasn’t even close to
what I was worrying about. It just made me feel like a huge
doofus wasting my time panicking and pacing myself here and
there.
Instead of worrying, be confident in yourself. There’s no need
to worry about the test you’re about to take if you know you’ve
done your all studying for it. True story and hilarious. LOL I
worried the night before taking my driver’s license test. I
barely got any sleep. What happened? I passed. So what was
all that worrying for…nothing!
If you’ve committed to something and said yes, then stop
mentally trying to escape or change the scenario. Just go with
the flow. Stop worrying or thinking why you shouldn’t do it.
Whatever the result is what you get. You live and learn.
Instead of worrying, be confident and believe. Those 2 always
come in handy.
Here’s a good thought by Evelyn Lim
from www.AbundanceTapestry.com, a guest blog post for

The mind likes to anchor itself to the known, which creates
anxiety. Worry is a symptom of the deeper-rooted fear you
experience when you have to tread into the unknown.
You prefer things to be predictable. You fear that any unexpected
turn in events would throw your meticulous planning into
disarray. The more energy you give to your fears, the more
anxious you become.
In reality, all forms of worry represent an underlying lack of trust.
You are unable to trust in the goodness of life. Even though things
could turn out in a number of ways, you have a tendency to
believe that things are going to turn out negative rather than
positive.
Worry displaces. You become ungrounded. With your mind
constantly in the future, it is difficult to be present. You lose the
capacity to experience life in the here and now. With worry, you
deny yourself the opportunity of living your moments in freedom.
Worrying causes you to leak energy. You feel low. You are more
apt to complain about things and compare yourself with others,
and you’re less likely to be rational. Excessive worrying can cause
you to stifle your dreams.
Your relationships with others get affected, too. No one likes being
near a prophet of doom and gloom. – www.tinybuddha.com/
6.) Timidity
Being timid is an illness. If we’re too careful we’ll
never achieve anything great. We’ll always be living in the
shadows. It’s like we’re allowing life and everyone in it to
constantly kick us in the groin just like that picture in the right.
In life, we need to take risks…calculated risks. This is how
success is created. I took a risk when I decided to follow my
heart…my passions…my dreams when I decided to skip college
and become an entrepreneur instead. I can tell you now, I’d
rather be working as an online entrepreneur full time than to
be stuck in a freakin’ cubicle looking at pictures of cats all day.
Being timid means that we’re stuck in our comfort zones. We
have no intention or chance to grow. Well everything beautiful
in life is ALWAYS outside our comfort zones. Have you ever
done something you’re not comfortable with and succeeded at
it? It’s the best damn feeling in the world. We never get
anything good from being too timid. We need to take
calculated risks every now and then. That’s what gives life it’s
color and excitement.
Who said you can’t live your dreams and make them a reality?
Don’t listen to those people. Listen to yourself…to your
heart…to your mind…to your soul. Do what you believe will
make you happy. As the saying goes “You Only Live Once or
YOLO”. Make it count!
