We are pleased to present the 37-meter (121.36-foot) Blue Hunter.

Completely transformed from a 14 year-old Japanese government cadet train-ing vessel into a posh expeditionary yacht in April 2010, the Blue Hunter is the perfect choice for a live-aboard owner seeking a long-range (4,000+ NM) adventure craft outfitted in luxurious comfort.

MASTER CABIN

The master cabin features wall-to-wall wool carpeting from Belgium, satin-finished wood paneled walls, a queen-sized bed, two clothing wardrobes, and a large L-shaped lounge area.

Entertainment amenities include a 37” flat screen T.V. and a DVD/CD player. Master bathroom features tiled floor and walls, toilet, shower with tempered slid-ing glass doors, ceramic sink and counter top, and a Headhunter toilet system.

VIP CABIN

The VIP cabin features wall-to-wall wool carpeting from Belgium, German leather paneled walls, satin-finished mahogany cabinets, a queen-sized bed, and a separate work desk and chair.

Entertainment amenities include a 37” flat screen T.V. and a DVD/CD player.

VIP cabin bathroom features tiled floor and walls, toilet, shower with tempered sliding glass doors, Corian type sink and counter top and a Headhunter toilet system.

GUEST CABINS

Each of the three guest cabins feature wall-to-wall wool carpeting from Belgium, German leather paneled walls, satin finished mahogany cabinets, and beds.

The main guest cabin includes it’s own bathroom and shower.

SALOON

The saloon features a built-in 42” LCD Panasonic T.V., surround-sound stereo system, plush over-sized sofas, wall-to-wall wool carpeting from Belgium, Ger-man leather paneled walls and wooden window blinds.

This area also includes a intimate dining area with dining table and chairs.

GALLEY

The galley includes slip-resistant tiled flooring, Formica cabinets with Blum drawer guides and hardware (20 kg. load rating), stainless steel counter tops, a stainless steel sink unit and gas detector.

Galley equipment includes: one 6 burner gas range with 80 cm. electric oven, one microwave oven, and two Fisher Paykel refrigerator/freezer units.

LAUNDRY ALCOVE

The laundry alcove includes one washer and dryer and tiled floor.

PILOT HOUSE

Forward Bridge console is wrapped in black German leatherette and two of the forward facing windows include clear view screens.

CREW ACCOMMODATION

Crew accommodation includes four crew bunks, one bathroom/shower facility, German leather panel walls and durable vinyl tile flooring.

SUN DECK

The forward Sun Deck offers a large canvas canopy which shades a built-in bench seat with teak counter top. The aft Sun Deck also features a large un-shaded area perfect for lounging, sunbathing, and more.

FORWARD SALOON DECK The forward Saloon Deck features Burmese teak planking and a small padded seating/observation bench (directly forward of the Pilot House) with a small built-in beverage/utility platform.

AFT SALOON DECK

The aft Saloon Deck features Burmese teak planking, a large built-in teak dining table and a padded U-shaped seating area.

FORWARD MAIN DECK

The forward Main Deck features Burmese teak planking, a Stromme 3.5 ton capacity marine crane, a 6.5-meter RIB tender and a 16-foot fiberglass trawler.

AFT MAIN DECK

The aft Main Deck features Burmese teak planking, a storage locker for boat equipment and dive gear, and a teak finished boarding and dive platform.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

60 Hz operation. Installation of all electrical equipment, wiring, cables, fixtures, etc., have been accomplished in accordance with the Rules of ABS vessels under 50 meter.

New sub panels have been installed along with one new Cummings 110 Kw generator. At this writing, the generator currently has 300 hours of service.

STEEL AND ALUMINUM FABRICATION

All steel and aluminum fabrication has been carried out in house or by an HYS approved subcontractor. All scantlings are equivalent to ABS approved rules for vessels under 50 meter.

All welding has been properly performed by competent welders, using the latest approved welding rods, equipment and processes.

The principal method of welding throughout fabricated sections of this vessel has been by electric arc, or MIG / TIG as required.

All fabrication and welding has been accomplished in accordance with good ship building practices throughout all stages of vessel conversion.







PAINT WORKS

All paint works have been carried out to general yacht standards. All coating systems were chosen for their resistance to corrosion while offering the highest standard of cosmetic finish possible.

All aluminum structures were de-greased, lightly sanded, acid washed and shop primed with a protective shop primer previous to fairing and top coating.

All exterior steelwork, including the insides of peaks, tank tops and bilges have been degusted at the places where any protective coating was found to be dam-aged and then re-coated in an approved manner to the original specification.

All exterior superstructures and exposed deck areas have received fairing compound in sufficient thickness and coats to eliminate all unfair areas. Proper priming of plates have been accomplished before the fairing compound was ap-plied. Top coats used were Awl-Grip.






NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT

All navigation gear is original ship’s equipment.

While the vessel’s original navigation gear is in perfect working order, we feel that the Blue Hunter would benefit from a navigational package upgrade of the new owner’s choosing.

New navigation instrumentation would be fitted by HYS.

AIR CON CHILLER

CruisAir self contained marine A/C units using CruisAir AT air handlers and SMX II local controllers.

WATER MAKER

One FCI water maker, rated at 6,814 Ltrs/day, 440v / 60hz / 3ph.

Includes a multi-media filter, commercial pre-filter, Ph neutralizer, and fresh wa-ter flush. At this writing, the water maker has only 100 hours of service.

FRESH WATER SYSTEM

Headhunter Marine Mach 5 duplex water pressure system with stainless Mani-fold with suction lift.

Unit - rated at 38 US gallons per minute @ 60 PSI (3Ph / 440v / 60Hz) - in-cludes priming pump and a 2’’ NPT stainless / discharge manifold.

TOILETS

Guest accommodations: Headhunter Royal Flush Hydro-Vac Superbowl with Polished Brass Actuator.

Crew accommodation: Royal Flush Hydro Vac Neoclassic with Polished Brass Push Button Actuator.

WINDOWS

All toughened safety glass. Thickness and number of laminates have been gov-erned by window size and location.

All windows have been installed on a bed of Sikaflex 265.

WEATHER TIGHT DOORS

All weather tight doors are ABS type approved.

BOW THRUSTER

Original ship’s equipment.

TOYS

New 6.5 meter RIB with a new 90HP Evinrude outboard motor. 16-foot fiber-glass trawler boat with a one-year-old 70HP Yamaha outboard motor.

MARINE CRANE

One Stromme 3.5 ton capacity crane for the launching and retrieving of tender, trawler and other related tasks.
