One of the most popular network shows the past two years has been This is Us. It’s really a simple story of a family told from an interesting perspec-tive. The show
weaves in scenes from the past with scenes from the pre-sent to give us insight into how the two are so intimately connected. We are who we are today in part because of the events of the past. The Bible is a story that in much the same way follows God’s interactions with His people through time. In seeing the story from a timeless perspective we gain an appreciation of God’s constant and providential care. We see how the past is connected with the present. This summer on Wednesday evenings we will hear some stories from Park Avenue members that bear witness to the same incontrovertible fact from Scripture—God has always been with us, forming us and shaping us to be the holy people he desires us to be. Join us this summer at 7 pm each Wednesday starting June 13.
Communication Card Information
We ask that everyone here today complete a Communication Card and place it in the offering trays when they are passed. Or, you can complete one digitally through the church app
or the YouVersion event app. Also please indicate any fellowship or service opportunities you wish to participate
in.
Fellowship or Service Opportunities AV Operators
After we share communion, two elders will be available for prayer by the church office.
Thank You’s
Way too often we under-estimate the power of a prayer, touch, smile, a card, visit, or phone call. Your kindness transformed my surgery into a blaze of “light”. Thank you for all your prayers and concern!
Rusty Brigman
On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you for the beauti-ful plant in memory of my mother, Patsy Watson. Your kindness, shown by your prayers, cards, and calls was so appreciated. Thank you so much,
Kim Watson & Family Thank you for your prayers, cards and concerns after the passing of TJ's sister. It's com-forting to know that you had us in your thoughts. Thanks so very much,
TJ & Margaret Atnip Thanks to everyone for your prayers, calls, and cards regarding Gary’s recent surgery.

Congratulations, Graduates! Today we salute the high school graduates of 2018! Many thanks to those of you who have brought gifts and/or food for the banquet today immediately after worship. Please note that one senior had a schedule conflict and opted not to participate. That brings our total to 11. Congratulations, seniors!
Intern Welcome Party
I’m pleased to invite you to a welcome get together event featuring our 2018 Summer interns. Join us for a meet and greet fiesta Wednesday night before class at 6pm on May 23rd. Clay Roesler and Mariesha Shaw will be joining us from Oklahoma Christian University and Abilene Christian University respectively. They will spend 11 weeks with us helping make student ministry happen over the Summer. As I reflect on my own experience as an intern here I know that the way I felt welcomed and included was a huge part of my having enjoyed my two Summers as an intern. I know you will extend the same hand of friendship to these college students as they come along with us for a short time. Note this is during the CTW auditions which will be held in the high school room next door.

We had over 40 attend our Fortify Family Retreat at Texoma Youth Camp last weekend. It was an incred-ibly beautiful weekend with water balloon fights, swimming, devotional times and a lot of time to enjoy each other. We have a Fall Fortify Family Retreat marked for November 17-19 at the same camp. Mark your calendars and plan on joining us in the fall.
We will have our Fifth Wednesday Praise on May 30. Our Praise Team will teach some new wor-ship songs and we’ll have a time to sing fa-vorites as well.
Our time to serve with Family Promise of Grayson County is May 27-
June 3. Nineteen of you were present for our training session with the director Leigh Walker. Twenty-eight have signed up to help. We have collected all of the blankets, towels and sheets needed. Thank you church!
