The crew is getting ready to warm the motor at Double X Speedway in California, MO in 2005. Sprint cars run on

alcohol and the motor must be warmed up to achieve

peak performance.

Tony and the 9c turning laps on the tight ¼ mile

track at Double X Speedway in California, MO. On a typical night, 20 to 25

gallons of fuel will be used.

The Eagle Chassis frame for the 2006 car before it

entered the paint booth at Paint-Ko (Larry McCown – owner/operator). It gives you a good view of the driver’s compartment.

This shot of the frame for the 2006 car shows the

down tubes on the roll cage viewed from the front of the

car.

All of the triangular geometry in the frame

construction can be seen here. This adds the strength

that is necessary for the rigors that the car must

endure on the track.

Another shot of the frame showing the triangular

geometry. This one was taken right before it was

painted by Larry McCown at Paint-Ko in Sedalia, MO.

The bottom side of the frame shows that there isn’t much there. This makes the car lighter and faster on the

track.

Notice the size of the right rear tire and compare it to size of the left rear in the

next picture.

The left rear tire is smaller than the one that is used on

the right. This is called ‘stagger’ and helps the car

and driver negotiate through the turns. Stagger varies from track to track.

A shot of the 9c from 2005. This was the first year that Tony carried the ACCKC logo on the 9c and took it

dirt trackin’.
