The key feature is its strong changes. Changes announced and gestated in the past but that would be taken, in fact, in the century. Changes in all areas of life and knowledge. Revolutions of all natures have their place. Science and retroalimentaran economy, the term "scientist" was coined in 1833 by William Whewell.

It would be a fundamental part of the language of the time, the strong economy would suffer two industrial revolutions, the first occurred between 1750 and 1840, and the second between 1880 and 1914. In politics, new ideas of the previous century set the stage for the bourgeois revolutions, revolutions explayaran the world through imperialism and seek an alliance with the labor movement that, to prevent his victory, he would give up universal suffrage.
