Since its inception in 2011 the Pacific Alliance has taken important steps in its efforts to liberalize trade, attract investment and ultimately increase trade relationships with Asia-Pacific nations. Early on, tariffs for over 90% of intra-regional trade goods were eliminated and now the group is forming an infrastructure fund that could mobilize over $100 bn while also issuing a Catastrophe bond totaling $1.36bn. An expert panel of government officials, lawyers, corporates, and financiers will discuss the opportunities brought forth by the Pacific Alliance and the challenges that remain.

• How did scrapping the TPP affect the PA?• Have the efforts of the PA been effective in attracting investment?• What has been the effect of a protectionist USA on the PacificAlliance?• Will other nations join?
