CHRIST THE KING- JUNE FAREWELL Thank you staff, students and parents for another amazing school year! CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRADUATING CLASS OF 2015! I’m very happy to be returning to such a wonderful school community in September! Before I wish everyone a wonderful summer, I’d like to take the opportunity to highlight some great people who greatly contribute to our CTK community. Mrs. Almeida- It is difficult to understand just how much this little lady does for the school. I witness her dedication and hard work on a daily basis and no one could be as effective as they are without her spirit and skills. Our staff- they continually amaze me in their professionalism and commitment to our students. Without their hard work, our students would not be as safe or engaged as they are currently. The CSAC or soon to be CSPC of 2014-2015 members: Derrek Lennox, Susan Banatas, Carolyn Czuba, Alessandra Levi, Lisa Hunter, Tonya Walker, Carla Ursini, Tara Dimitriou, Margaret Rosol and Joy Mora. As a principal I have been very lucky to have the support of our CSAC, and as a result of their support, we can together continue to provide great learning opportunities for your children! Please don’t hesitate to join next year’s 2015-2016 team. There will be a CSAC communication coming out to all our families in early September. Be sure to keep an eye out for it in the mail. You can contact them at [email protected]. The students of CTK for their work ethic, their positive attitudes and their school spirit. We hope that you enjoyed the year. CHRIST THE KING- JUNE FAREWELL

Thank you staff,

students and parents for

another amazing

school year!

As a

principal I have been very lucky to have the support of our CSAC, and as a result of their support, we can together continue to provide great learning opportunities for your children!

Don’t forget that manners definitely matter! And to keep calm! Next year we look forward to our school theme of Success Starts at CTK!

Attached is a shopping list to help you purchase the appropriate items for your Back to School Shopping! It will also be in your child’s agenda.

Reading Lists Please encourage your child to read over the summer! Lists are attached.

Happy Summer

Thank you to our parent volunteers who provided us with a yummy hot

dog lunch!

Lots of learning still happening as Ms. Gonzalez’s class investigates about composting.

MOST PRESTIGIOUS STUDENT AWARDS GO TO…

Congratulations to the following students for their commitment to improving their work habits and/or their student responsibilities: Matthew Costa, Eric Skaftason, Jacob Molek, Kiannah Claveria, Jahnei Mackenzie, Michaela Fejko, David Nunes, Brandon Wilson, Julius Valenzona, Samantha Valtati, and Julia Jakubek.

Big shout-out to our students who had perfect attendance this year; Kyra Peralta, Stephanie Ferrer, Lucrezia Warburg-Levi, Alexander Banatas and Emma Kaluza.

We will be encouraging students and parents to arrive to school on time as we focus on the Student Success theme. Attendance and punctuality are

important routines to establish early in your child’s life.

We say goodbye, but hopefully more like see you soon, to a few staff members: Mrs. Hussain , Mr. Monjes, Ms. DeDominicis, Ms. Stephens, Mrs. Ruffalo, Ms. Caschera, and Ms. McGarry. They will be missed and we thank them for being part of our team!

YEARBOOKS- We hope that you enjoyed this year’s yearbook. It takes quite a bit of time and effort to organize and assemble. Bright Pics was our printer this year and our Grade 8 girls assisted, as well as Mrs. Stasierowski’s daughter, Jaclyn.

Yeehaw!! Students had a fun time learning how to line-dance!

For the second year, we had our Transition Day. This provides all our students with the opportunity to go into next year’s class (not necessarily their teacher), to review some of the expectations and curriculum that they will be covering. We find it a very valuable exercise as it may eliminate some stress.

Bus times will be posted on the main entrance doors the Friday before school. If your child is already on the bus, then he/she will continue to be on the bus list. If there is any changes, please let the office know the week prior to school starting.

Thank you to Mr. Monjes, Ms. Caschera, Ms. DeDominicis, Ms. Toth, Mr. Braga and Mrs. Almeida with their help with the Magic Show/Talent Show!
