Test Equipment Solutions Ltd specialise in the second user sale, rental and distribution of quality test & measurement (T&M) equipment. We stock all major equipment types such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, logic analysers etc from all the major suppliers such as Agilent, Tektronix, Anritsu and Rohde & Schwarz.

We are focused at the professional end of the marketplace, primarily working with customers for whom high performance, quality and service are key, whilst realising the cost savings that second user equipment offers. As such, we fully test & refurbish equipment in our in-house, traceable Lab. Items are supplied with manuals, accessories and typically a full no-quibble 2 year warranty. Our staff have extensive backgrounds in T&M, totalling over 150 years of combined experience, which enables us to deliver industry-leading service and support. We endeavour to be customer focused in every way right down to the detail, such as offering free delivery on sales, covering the cost of warranty returns BOTH ways (plus supplying a loan unit, if available) and supplying a free business tool with every order.

As well as the headline benefit of cost saving, second user offers shorter lead times, higher reliability and multivendor solutions. Rental, of course, is ideal for shorter term needs and offers fast delivery, flexibility, try-before-you-buy, zero capital expenditure, lower risk and off balance sheet accounting. Both second user and rental improve the key business measure of Return On Capital Employed.

We are based near Heathrow Airport in the UK from where we supply test equipment worldwide. Our facility incorporates Sales, Support, Admin, Logistics and our own in-house Lab.

All products supplied by Test Equipment Solutions include:

- No-quibble parts & labour warranty (we provide transport for UK mainland addresses).- Free loan equipment during warranty repair, if available.- Full electrical, mechanical and safety refurbishment in our in-house Lab.- Certificate of Conformance (calibration available on request).- Manuals and accessories required for normal operation.- Free insured delivery to your UK mainland address (sales).- Support from our team of seasoned Test & Measurement engineers.- ISO9001 quality assurance.

preventing damage to output circuits ifan RF transmitter or DC power supplyis accidentally applied to the outputconnector. This feature contributes to longservice life and low cost of ownership.

Modulation OscillatorAn internal modulation oscillator is providedwhich is capable of generating one or twotones in the frequency range of 0.01 Hz to20 kHz. As an alternative to a sine waveoutput, a triangular or square wave outputcan be provided. An input on the frontpanel enables an external modulationsignal to be combined with the internalmodulation to simplify the testing ofcomplex receiver systems.

Modulation

Comprehensive amplitude, frequency, phase and pulse modulation facilities areprovided for testing all types of receivers.A MOD ON/OFF key simplifies the testingof signal to noise ratio.

. Optional +25 dBm RF outputFrequency and Phase ModulationWith a 1 dB FM bandwidth of 100 kHz anda deviation range of 0 to 1 00 kHz, the 2023and 2024 signal generators offer a widerange frequency modulation capability. ACor DC coupled FM can be selected withvery low carrier frequency error and drift inthe DC coupled mode. The DC coupledmode is ideal for testing tone and message

paging equipment accurately. The phase modulation facility is ideal for

testing narrow band analog radios with adeviation range of 0 to 1 0 radians and a3 dB bandwidth up to 10kHz.

Amplitude and pulse modulationAmplitude modulation with a 1 dB band-width of 30 kHz and modulation depthsof up to 99.9% with a resolution of0.1% ensures the generator is suitablefor testing AM systems and undertakingEMC immunity measurements. The pulsemodulation facility has an on/off ratio ofbetter than 40 dB and a rise tin1e ofless than 10 IJS enabling characterisation ofTDMA or TDD bursts in RF amplifiers andmodules.

2023 and 2024 signal generators areportable and lightweight, offering carrierfrequencies from 10kHz to 1.2 GHz (2023)and 10 kHz to 2.4 GHz (2024).

The instruments are suitable for awide range of applications in laboratory, production, service and maintenanceenvironments.

The GPIB facility allows the unit tobe included in ATE systems for fastermanufacturing throughput.

The inclusion of an RS232 interface, with a common command set to the GPIBfacility, simplifies remote control of thesignal generator in basic test systems andallows control via a modem.

Availability of a large number of non-volatile memory locations reduces theset-up time within ATE systems and canbe used to simplify test procedures inmanually controlled systems. A memorycloning facility, using the GPIB or RS232,allows the memory settings to be dupli-cated quickly and efficiently.

FSKIn addition to the analog FM facilities, the2023 and 2024 signal generators allowthe generation of 2 level and 4 level FSKsignals from external logic level signals.

simple menu system can be used toconfigure the instrument to the user'srequired mode of operation in a simple andintuitive manner.

A rotary control and up/down keysallow easy modification of the selected

parameters.

Frequency selectionFrequency resolution of 1 Hz across thecomplete frequency range of 1.2 GHz or2.4 GHz ensures adequate resolution tocharacterise narrow band communicationsystems and components.

RF OutputPeak RF output levels up to +13 dBm canbe set with a resolution of 0.1 dB over theentire range. An attenuator hold functionallows control of the RF output withoutintroducing RF level dropouts from the stepattenuator to facilitate testing of receiversquelch systems. A carrier ON/OFF key isprovided to completely disable the output.

Calibration DataAll alignment data, including the internalfrequency standard adjustment, is digi-tally derived and realignment can beundertaken without removal of externalcovers, by protected front panel functionsor via the GPIB. Use of digitally storedrealignment eliminates the use of mech-anical adjusters to minimise long term driftand vulnerability to mechanical shock.

Status information is stored, including anidentity string (type and serial number),choice of internal or external standard andGPIB address.
