Terror…

I `ve seen the covert vicious faces of deathAnd spouting fountains of innocent blood,

Blackened mutilated corpses lying in pieces,And the Spirits of Darkness dancing around

I `ve seen liberty strangled; bound in chainsThose heavy boots pressed close to her chinThe protruding eyes; those imploring looks,

Still keep me troubled in waking and dreams.

I `ve seen Care kissing Young Beauty`s faceThat waning bloom, waiting for her lost loveStill hopeful, still pining away misery strickenHer darkling dejection; looks young yet again.

I `ve seen night consuming: each Ray of LightThe Chilly Gusts of winter draining life withinObstructing new growth only hastens decay

Oblivious snow that keeps signs of life away…
