• Services include;– Parking - Duty Free Shops– Car Hold - Police / Security– Café - Immigration– Market - Customs

• A non-facilitated airside (normally termed as aerodrome); but having basic facilities called as an Aerodrome Building.

• Services include;– Café - Car Parking / Car Hold– Police / Security - Aircraft Parking– Fire - Rescue– Refuel

• International Terminals are bound to accommodate all type of national and international flights.

• All services and facilities are normally paid or pre-paid.

• National Terminals are bound to accommodate all local, chartered and protocol flights.

• Their primary objective is to lessen the work of international terminals.

• Normally services and facilities are waived off or paid.

AerodromeAerodrome

• Aerodromes normally designed to accommodate all general and private aviation ops.

• Flying training schools normally get place for the ops at aerodrome.

• All services are paid and open for general public.• No services are free or subsidized.• Aerodrome can only lessen the work of national

terminals.

• SID stands for Standard Instrument Departure.

• SID is normally referred as “by-pass” to the airway.

• STAR stands for Standard Terminal Arrival.

• STAR is considered as by-pass to the airport (destination).

• Aerodrome normally use the same procedures as use by the international or national terminal if they come in the 45 nautical mile vicinity.

• Moreover, aerodrome faces many halts during special ops, VIP/VVIP movements and military exercises.

• Aerodrome traffic uses low level airways as well.

• High level airways or normally referred as victor airways used by international flight and traffic.
