Our own Kerri Kelsh is one of 3 people being honoured with an award at Government House on Monday. We will have our own celebration on Tuesday with a teddy bears’ picnic and assembly. I hope to see as many family members (and teddies) as possible. The assembly will be followed by the Governing Council meeting at 3:30pm. Also in week 2 (Monday), the senior class will travel to Minnipa Ag Centre to participate in open day. In week 7 Students will be travelling to Karcultaby for swimming lessons. These will focus on stroke development in anticipation of Miltaburra joining Karcultaby for a swimming carnival in term 1 next year. The school concert will be held Thursday of week 8 which will allow us to have our annual beach day on the Friday. Hi Everyone, Welcome back to what looks likely to be a jam packed term! I hope everyone had a great holiday and managed some quality family time. If you are starting harvest work in the next few weeks, can you please remind drivers to keep an eye out for school buses and that the speed limit is 25km/hr when school buses are stationary. This term we will be planning for 2018 and we will have a student free day in week 4 when we will analyse all of our student achievement and other data, identify areas to focus on next year and begin developing individual student learning plans. Karen Stokes Teaching and Learning Mathematician in residence Kathy Palmer will be returning to Miltaburra in week 4 (Friday) to continue her work with teachers around plan- ning and programming for mathematics learning across the year levels.
