Yesterday saw our boyssoftball team move through to the finals and are in the top four in the State. Congratulations boys that s a great effort. Our girls are competing on Friday also for a spot in the finals and I wish them well. Yesterday our Junior Band students competed at Bandfest and last night I was able to view the adjudication video. It was wonderful to hear such positive feedback for this young group. Both Mrs Scott and Mrs Thurston report exceptional behaviour and com- mend them on their respect and maturity at this event. This Friday Mr Remington and Mr Bone are taking a group of Stage 3 student to League Tag, Im sure they will enjoy their day! New Watches It has been brought to the notice of staff that some children are wearing Apple and Apple type watches that are able to send and receive texts and take photos and videos. We ask that these watches please remain at home and messages are relayed to students through the usual channels. TTFM A reminder to parents that the version of the Tell Them From Mesurvey is open till this Friday 26th October. The parent survey is a great opportunity for parents and care-givers to provide us with valuable and quick feedback on aspects of our school. You are able to access the survey from the Skoolbag app, our Facebook page or by using the link below. https://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/rwqqc I want to assure you that the survey is confidential. The survey is conducted online and will typically take less than 30 minutes to complete. Participating in the survey is entirely voluntary. Kindergarten Orientation Tomorrow is the first of our three Kindergarten Orientation sessions for 2019. The session will commence at 9.45 in the school hall. Our new Kindergarten children will receive their name tags and will be taken into the Kindergarten room with the current Kindergarten teachers, Mrs McDonald and Mrs Gilbert, and Mrs Pascoe our K-2 Assistant Principal. Parents will remain in the hall for an information session till 11.00am when the students will be returned. PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

As expected Term 4 is off to a running start. Yesterday saw our boys’ softball team move through to the finals and are in the top four in the State. Congratulations boys that’s a great effort. Our girls are competing on Friday also for a spot in the finals and I wish them well. Yesterday our Junior Band students competed at Bandfest and last night I was able to view the adjudication video. It was wonderful to hear such positive feedback for this young group. Both Mrs Scott and Mrs Thurston report exceptional behaviour and com-mend them on their respect and maturity at this event. Band News

Bandfest is happening today and Senior Bandfest on Thursday. You and Mrs Scott have worked really hard and we wish you all the best. A note will go out in the next few days outlining the transport detail for Senior band on Thursday. Thanks to all the parents and

caregivers who are able to assist with transport. Our band committee meeting will be held this Wednesday morning at 8.10am in Mrs Thurston's room (2T). Everyone is welcome. The

agenda will include next year's band organisation, presentation night and Band Camp 2019.

Christmas Winds Concert at the Conservatorium of Music (Snr Band) – Friday 30th November (Week 7)

Fees are now due. Fees can be paid by direct debit to the band account (separate to school account)

Junior- $55 per term Senior- $65 per term When paying band fees, please remember to add a reference (child's name) when direct debiting.

New Beginner band Term 4

If you have a child interested in joining please start to discuss which instrument they would like to learn. Children in year 1 - 5 this year are eligible to join. If you have a year 1 child who is interested please be aware that some instruments are more suited to older children due to the size of instruments and children. It is also required that the two top adult teeth be present for playing

brass and wind instruments. I'm happy to provide guidance and help with these decisions. Notes are available in the music room.

Coming home today are order forms for the calendar art fundraiser we are running this term. Available for purchase are calendars, family planners, greeting cards, diaries and more with your child's artwork or photo printed

on them. These make great Christmas presents for family members or as a keepsake for yourself or child. Orders need to be in by the 7th of November to get them
