STEM Day On Monday the 9th of September, there was a school wide STEM Day. All students participated in activities that included making a paper chain, play dough making, marble mazes, pneumatics, egg drops plus many, many more. By all reports, everybody enjoyed the day and some wonderful creations were made. All students attended the school incursion which was presented by the ‘Silly Scientist’ who wowed the crowd with awesome experiments. Thank you to everyone who helped prepare for the day. YOUR JUNK IS WANTED! Have you heard of the saying, “One persons’s junk, is
another person’s treasure”? Well I am looking for families to donate any bits and pieces that we can re-use in our end of term art installations/assessments. They need to be safe for students to handle and in good condition. It might be a good way to have a
clean out of any things you no longer require or use. I will give each class teacher a container for students to
place their donated items in. We are looking for anything from bolts, nuts, screws, little toys,
sunglasses, shells etc. Have a look at the examples of things we might be creating if you are unsure of what we are looking for. Muchas gracias in advance, Senora
Darkins and the students at LWS.
