Term 3, Week 3 3rd August 2016
Quality education in a caring environment
Principal’s Report
Education Week
This week is Education Week, the theme being Shared
Stories, Better Learning and Stronger Communities.
During this week our school community will have the
opportunity to visit the school to see first-hand the
great things achieved day-in, day-out by students and
teachers. Today was our Open Day where parents and
guests were invited into the school to view
classrooms, enjoy a concert and share a sausage sizzle
with our students. The day commenced at 10:15am
and the afternoon session involved students in a mini-
Olympics activity. Tomorrow, our parliamentarians
and school captains will continue to celebrate
Education Week, by taking part in leadership activities
at Hay War Memorial High School.
Ready Set Kinder
Today was the launch of our Ready, Set, Kinder
program where our prospective students for 2017
enjoyed a Teddy Bears’ picnic with their teachers Mrs
Houston and Mrs Headon. Ready, Set, Kinder will
continue every Wednesday for the remainder of the
year and is an extended transition program, designed
to provide every one of our students with a prior to
school educational program.
