We have just over 80 preps and around 240 Year 7 students starting with us this year, amongst our 2080 students in the College. I hope everybody had a great break. The College grounds are looking fantastic and a lot of work was undertaken over the holidays in various parts of the school. The secondary basketball courts and cricket nets have been resurfaced; locker bays built; the Year 7 centre refurbished into a genuine flexible learning space; lots of paths have been created in the Primary school and the Doctor’s in Schools building has arrived and is nearly ready for use. Thanks to our facilities team – Paul Halfpenny, Brett Dyer, Derek Annal and Jodie Birrell for all their hard work and commitment to our school. Doug Johnstone and Leanne Barrow also have our gardens and grounds looking pretty spectacular. Our 2016 Year 12 students recently received tertiary placement offers and I am happy to say that 95% received first round offers. Congratulations to our 2016 Dux Yasir Sultani, who scored 99.65, a remarkable effort. We are very proud of the success of all our Year 12 students, both VCAL and VCE, who have left an indelible impression on the College. School Council elections will take place shortly. I would encourage any parents interested in becoming involved with School Council to nominate for the upcoming ballot. Please contact Monique Guerin at the College for more information. Welcome to Mr Keith Perry who joins us as Assistant Principal with responsibility for College Wellbeing and Student Engagement in the Secondary area. Keith is a very experienced Assistant Principal who was part of the leadership team at Kambrya College. He has already made a strong impression on our students and staff. Finally from me, we were very saddened to hear of the loss of Mr Craig Bond. Bondy made an invaluable contribution to this College over many years in both the Primary and Secondary sections. He was a great teacher and a very good friend to many and we are all better for having had him in our lives. Have a great 2017, Rob Duncan.

Welcome everyone to the 2017 school year!

Have a great 2017,

Rob Duncan.

Melbourne Storm Presentation

Term 1 Issue 1 10th February 2017

We were lucky enough to have had Christian Welch and Tohu Harris from Melbourne Storm, in the school on the 2nd of February doing a presentation for our Grade 3 - 6 students. The presentation was about the importance of RESPECT. Respect for themselves, Respect for their teammates and Respect for the school and the community. The kids really got a lot out of it. Mr Evans.
