Now that you have read through these few pages I hope to illustrate how I work with individuals and their families. I am dedicated to not only servicing my clients, but being the best steward that I can be. Having a structured communication process with clients has become a cornerstone of my practice, and has also allowed me to differentiate myself from others. Protecting client’s wealth, recognizing opportunities, and constantly striving for portfolio efficiency are what the client should expect, and also receive. AbouT Telby
Telby has been in the financial services industry for more than 10 years, joining RBC Wealth Management in 2014 from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney where he was a member of their Pacesetters Club, and earned the Certified Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation. Telby takes a personalized, holistic approach to his clients’ financial needs and goals, with his practice focusing on retirement and estate planning.
A native of Houston, Telby graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in business. He has been a serving committee member on the Houston Baylor Business Network and Co-Chair on the Baylor’s Bear to Bear Organization. He has also been active in the Coastal Conservation Association, the Energy Prospectus Group, and volunteered at River Pointe Church in Richmond, Texas.
Telby resides in Jupiter, Florida with his wife Kirstin and their three children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and the outdoors. Telby is active with the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, Palm Beach Tax Institute, Loggerhead Marine Center, Blue Friends, West Palm Beach Fishing Club and Coastal Conservation Association.

Vice President – Wealth Strategies Consultant, Estate and High Net Worth
Van has been in the financial services industry since 1986. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner (CFP®) and is Series 7 and Series 66 licensed. He holds degrees from Washington & Lee University and Middlebury College. A frequent public speaker, Van works primarily with individual clients, but he has also worked with institutional
clients as a planned giving consultant. As part of his responsibilities, Van works with RBC Wealth Management financial advisors to develop strategies in the areas of estate planning, retirement planning, stock option planning, charitable giving, education funding and wealth transfer. He also has significant experience in helping clients understand sophisticated equity risk management strategies such as exchange funds, equity collars and forward contracts. Van works with clients’ attorneys, accountants and other professionals to implement recommended planning solutions.
Todd piTTS
Vice President – Retirement Plan Consultant
Todd joined RBC Wealth Management in 2008 and has 24 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Todd has in-depth experience in analyzing organizations’ retirement plan needs and recommending
appropriate vehicles, including 401(k), profit-sharing and defined benefit plans, and SIMPLE and SEP IRAs. As part of his responsibilities, he consults with corporations and non-profit groups of all sizes to help develop strategies and solutions for their ERISA and non-ERISA retirement plan needs. Todd has expertise in the areas of plan design, employee education, fiduciary issues and asset allocation. He does extensive research into retirement plan providers. He also assists RBC Wealth Management Financial Advisors in servicing clients’ retirement plans. Todd helps create and maintain investment policy statements, and he is involved in investment monitoring, plan design and portfolio consulting.

Trust Consultant
Thomas has worked directly with clients in a variety of consultative roles since entering the financial services industry in 2003. He earned a B.A. from the University of Delaware and a M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware. He specializes in collaborating with
RBC Wealth Management® Financial Advisors to deliver trust solutions to high-net worth individuals and families as part of a holistic wealth management planning solution. He is responsible for offering trust and custodial services through Financial Advisors who then remain the main point of contact for clients. His overall goal is to enhance and support client-advisor relationships as well as to identify trust solutions that both optimize opportunities and mitigate risks. As a former Financial Advisor, Thomas has a strong background in retail investing — with a special emphasis on understanding and complying with fiduciary responsibilities related to investments held in trusts. Because of his experience as an investment professional and working with private bankers, he adds tremendous value by asking open ended questions to help discover the important issues and concerns that may affect each client’s financial well-being and trust directives. In addition to providing expert recommendations on a broad range of specific trust structures, Thomas has a deep knowledge of the Delaware trust system as a wealth building and preservation tool.
MATTheW Kirby
Senior Credit Officer
Based in Houston, Matt partners with financial advisors to provide customized lending solutions for high net worth clients, trusts, and personal holding companies. As part of his responsibilities, Matt provides recommendations on how the strategic use of credit can help clients meet a variety of wealth accumulation and liquidity
management goals, including real estate purchases, bridge financing, and refinancing existing high-cost debt. Matt has worked in the financial services industry for 18 years. Matt received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware and has a diverse background in lending services and financial instruments.
