DESCRIPTION

The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python. In this workshop we are going to discuss what a Raspberry Pi actually is and why it's taken the maker community by storm. We'll walk through going from a fresh-out-of-the-box Raspberry Pi, to installing an OS, booting it up and having a bit of a play around. After that, we will connect TV to a Raspberry Pi and configure it so it can collect GRO data from the server and display it on the big screen. Also, we will make couple of scripts so the data monitoring system will restart itself in case of power loss.
