BARRIERS /SET BACKS and INTERVENTIONS
Teaching the Net Generation: Curriculum, Pedagogy and the Challenge of 21st Century Learning
BARRIERS/SET BACKS INTERVENTIONS1. LMS allows learners to do modules
without electronic session guides. If this happens
• Learning could not be properly guided.
• Learners progress could not be tracked by the IM.
• Enrichment activities provided by the LMS could not be maximized.
• Through the partnership with CICT and DLSU new LMS that would not allow learners to do modules without electronic session guide is being developed
BARRIERS /SET BACKS and INTERVENTIONS
Teaching the Net Generation: Curriculum, Pedagogy and the Challenge of 21st Century Learning
BARRIERS/SET BACKS INTERVENTIONS2. IMs have limited time to stay at
eSkwela consequently • they could not improve the electronic
session guides of the modules 3. Inactive partners.4. Incomplete digitized modules5. Not all learners can afford to have
personal computers at home.
6. 3 hours learning session per week is not sufficient.
2. Mobile teachers were assigned to handle learning sessions so that IMscould improve and revise the electronic session guides.
3. Solicited support from learners.4. Used pdf format modules.5. Have provided printed modules that
they could borrow and study at home.6. Learning session schedule was
modified accommodating 3 hrs learning session twice a week.
FUTURE PLANS
Teaching the Net Generation: Curriculum, Pedagogy and the Challenge of 21st Century Learning
PLANS REASONS1. Scout for additional community
partners.2. Employ full time IMs or Facilitators.
3. To put up more eSkwela Centers.
1. To sustain the project.
2. To give more attention in the development and improvement of the learning content of the LMS.
3. To accommodate more learners.
