Overall Approach- Instructional strategy was lecture/discussion thatincluded group wor and a short video!

I thin this really got their attentionalthough they pro'a'aly wanted more details(!I now I did! But withpersonal revelations such as this) you have to control how much youwant to share!
Having class this time o# day tends to hinder discussion a 'it-studentsnot real awae and o#ten not on time! *e will need to get themmotivated to 'e on time more!
I am glad you waled around during the group wor to mae sure theyare on tas! Try to engage them more in the group wor(('eenthusiastic to try to motivate them! I now you are passionate a'outthe topic! I was curious a'out those 1+ ways #or ,$$I! ou mentionedhitting yoursel# with o'.ects 'ut stating some o# the others would 'egood! lthough I thin students have heard o# cutting 'ehavior) Ithin the ,$$I term was new to them and more e&les o# whatwould classi#y would have assisted with their understanding o# theterm! 2eep asing them to spea up #or their classmates3 'ene4t! Icouldn3t hear some o# the reporting out o# groups!
I lied your use o# technology and your choices o# what to show! BreneeBrown Ted Tal was help#ul #or visual learners(!and contained greatin#ormation that spoe to the heart o# the issue no pun intended6!
I also lied your 7o'in *illiams slide and "uote! nother thing I wasthining was that he was +8(and it seems lie many men in 503s and+03s) particularly those in li#e transitions are suicidal! #ter the videothere were some good reactions! The student that said her #rienddoesn3t sing anymore was a poignant remar!
The vulnera'ility issue is a 'ig one! I lie how you encouraged themgetting help such as counseling rather than num'ing! t this point inthe lesson I #elt you really had their attention! our passion came outmany times when processing the video!
I also lied how you included 9H-,9H data on college studentdepression and the $urgeon %eneral3s site! They were #ading a 'it atthe end as they always do though!
