Brimm Goes to Broadway!
Hamilton: An American Musical
Spring 2020
Students from Brimm Medical Arts High School were selected to participate in the Hamilton
Education Program in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Thanks to generous donations from the Camden Federal
Courts and Camden FOP Lodge 218, students from Brimm attended a performance of Hamilton: A n American Musical on Broadway. In addition, three
students were selected among their peers and other participating schools to perform an original piece they wrote and choreographed about the Boston
Tea Party. Before the show, six cast members interacted with the audience during a question and answer session. It was a great day in the city!
Inspired by the Broadway musical Hamilton: A n American Musical, students from Brimm Medical
Arts High School had the opportunity to write and perform an original song on stage at the Richard Rogers Theatre in New York City.

Plans for the Future: I plan to go to college fir st and then complete medical school to become a pediatr ician.
Favorite Part of Brimm: My favorite part of Brimm was the friendships I've made and the impact both the teachers and students have made on me through the years.
How have you changed through the years?: I've changed throughout the years mainly by becoming more confident. Before Brimm, I was a shy person who didn’t like to speak my mind. I learned to possess leadership skills and how to network in the business world so I can really put myself out there. I've especially changed this year. I’ve learned not to undermine myself thanks to our college advisor Ms. Jones who saw in me what I did not see at first, that I have what it takes for colleges to accept me.
Who inspired you the most? First, my mom. She is a immigrant who literally walked borders to be here with me today. As I always say, I do it all to make her proud because she deserves it. The other people who inspire me the most are my teachers Mrs. Wallenburg, Mrs. Johnson, and Ms. Jones. Coming from a family that does not understand the college concept, they helped motivate me when it came to my education and to keep pursuing my goals. They were the best emotional support I could ask for and I am very grateful to have had that experience here at Brimm. I can only wish the same for the upcoming students.
