• Direct response television, usually known by it’s acronym, DRTV, is any commercial from 30 seconds in length, up to a half-hour, that gives the viewer the opportunity to order the featured product by calling an 800 number, or ordering from a website, or both.

• DRTV commercials up to 2 minutes in length are called “spots”, and the half-hour version is the infomercial.
