Monday Consensual

Salvation

God is more

anxious to save

us than we to

save ourselves,

and he has

given us all the

means required

to embrace him

and abide in

him uncondi-

tionally. Only

one thing is

needed: our

consent, which

must be re-

ratified every

day, through

every choice we

make.

Tuesday A

Mended Heart

Your heart

needs to

be broken,

and bro-

ken open,

at least

once to

have a

heart at all

or to have

a heart for

others.

Wednesday Flow of For-

giveness

We can only

live inside the

flow of for-

giveness if we

have stood

under the con-

stant waterfall

of needed for-

giveness our-

selves. Only

hour-by-hour

gratitude is

strong enough

to overcome

all temptations

to resentment.

Thursday Sustainable

Future

Only mutual apol-

ogy, healing, and

forgiveness offer a

sustainable future

for humanity. Oth-

erwise we are con-

trolled by the past,

individually and

corporately. We all

need to apologize,

and we all need to

forgive or this hu-

man project will

surely self-destruct.

No wonder that

almost two-thirds

of Jesus’ teaching

is directly or indi-

rectly about for-

giveness.

Friday Staying Mindful

Whenever you do

anything stupid,

cruel, evil, or de-

structive to your-

self or others, you

are at that moment

unconscious, and

unconscious of

your identity. If

you were fully

conscious, you

would never do it.

Loving people are

always highly

conscious people.

To rely on any

drug or substance

is to become un-

conscious.

Saturday Imitating

Jesus

We often hear it

said that friends

are the family

that we choose

for ourselves.

If so, let us

choose the

friends of Jesus

to be among our

own. The best

of friends al-

ways call one

another higher,

in imitation of

he Divine

Friend, Jesus.

Sunday Lord, Give Me

Strength

Lord, hold my

hand. Help me

to rely on only

you. Help me

be brave

enough to open

my eyes to the

kingdom of

heaven.
