The masthead is usually on the left of the paper and on the top but I messed around with that element to find out where it looks best. It looks more professional when it is on the top right. Using a block colour as a background for adverts and content previews breaks up the white space. I think most of my designs have too much writing on them compared to the examples of tabloids I found. Most of the page is taken up with pictures and large headlines but my designs only has one large image and headline. I am very pleased with the image and headline I have though and think the image to the right is the best one I have made. I think it looks very professional and can see it being used in an actual newspaper. I think my layouts aren’t too bad but the way I have executed them has let them down a bit. More images and backgrounds need to be used so the page isn’t so bland and empty.
