Task 15 Magazin e profile Jack Laird 04/11/15 CN:1102 Age: 13 years plus as this is the age where a lot of people become engaged in becoming more active and enjoying sports. Gender: I am going to aim my magazine towards the male population as stereotypically, men enjoy sport more than women. Type of magazine: I will be aiming to create a sports magazine. It will be an urban sports type of magazine featuring things like parkour, skating etc. Publishing schedule: I will be publishing a new magazine as often as around every month as it is enough time for people to buy then read then build suspense for the next issue. Cost: I would like to price my magazine at around £3- £3.99 so that whilst giving people a good run for their money, I would still be able to make profit from the sales. Contents: In my magazine I will be including many features. These features include things such as interviews, intriguing images, event dates, reviews and also professional athlete profiles. Size: I will make my magazine around 22-26 pages long so that I can fit in all of the articles from throughout the month. Colour palette: I will be using a darker colour scheme to appeal to my audience and also too seem extravagant and bold.

Task 15 – Magazine

profile

Jack Laird04/11/15CN:1102

Age: 13 years plus as this is the age

where a lot of people become

engaged in becoming more

active and enjoying sports.

Gender: I am going to aim my magazine towards the male

population as stereotypically, men

enjoy sport more than women.

Type of magazine: I will be aiming to create a sports

magazine. It will be an urban sports

type of magazine featuring things

like parkour, skating etc.

Publishing schedule: I will be publishing a new magazine as often as

around every month as it is enough time for people to buy then read then

build suspense for the next issue.

Cost: I would like to price my magazine at around £3-£3.99 so that whilst giving people a good run for their money, I would still be able to make profit from the

sales.

Contents: In my magazine I will be including many features.

These features include things such as interviews, intriguing images, event dates, reviews and also professional athlete

profiles.

Size: I will make my magazine around 22-26 pages long so that I can fit in all of the articles from throughout the month.

Colour palette: I will be using a darker colour scheme to appeal to my audience and also too seem extravagant and

bold.

Task 17 – Magazine styling

Clothing type: I will be using the stereotypical skater-like clothing. This includes: tight, black skinny jeans, baggy t-shirt, Nike SB shoes and baggy wrist accessories. This is because is will attract my

audience to read it as it relates to what they may wear. It could also inspire them to want to buy this type of merchandise. If it did, I could then include adverts of the companies selling the items making

the purchase easier whilst also increasing sales and advertisement for the business or company.

Body positioning: I will use a shot of a trick performed by the model featuring on the front page. This will make my audience want to see more images like it so they will open the magazine and read

it. It will be a mid-air, full length shot of the model from a low down angle to make them look important on the front cover and also inspire the audience to pick up the sport.

Make up and hair: I will not be using any make up or hair products on my model for the cover as I want it to seem as natural as possible whilst also standing out and being different from other normal

types of magazines.
