I was so proud of the positive sportsmanship and involvement that was demonstrated by our students. It was also fantastic to see so many parents supporting, cheering, donating and volunteering throughout the day. Without the time and effort from parent communities such as ours, Rendelsham and Beachport, amazing days like Coastline Sports Day would not be possible. Well done everyone, and again, thank you! Infections & Sickness As the cold weather begins to set in, and we get tired and run down, we are beginning to notice students and staff getting sick— runny noses, coughs and even bouts of gastro already. Three Way Conferences This week a note was sent home requesting that families book in a time for a three way conference. These are scheduled to be held next week (Week 10) on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. We would appreciate if you could return these preference forms as soon as possible, to allow us time to schedule families and return this information in a timely manner. Dear Families,

I would firstly like to start by saying a huge Thank you and

Congratulations on our participation and contributions to

yesterday’s Coastline Sports Day. I was so proud of the positive

sportsmanship and involvement that was demonstrated by our

students. It was also fantastic to see so many parents supporting,

cheering, donating and volunteering throughout the day. Without

the time and effort from parent communities such as ours,

Rendelsham and Beachport, amazing days like Coastline Sports

Day would not be possible. Well done everyone, and again, thank

you!

Infections & Sickness

As the cold weather begins to set in, and we get tired and run

down, we are beginning to notice students and staff getting sick—

runny noses, coughs and even bouts of gastro already. Can we all

please be mindful that we don’t want to share our germs! It is

recommended that students/staff do not return to school until 24

HOURS AFTER the last vomit or bowel movement. I appreciate your

support with this—with such small numbers it doesn’t take much to

deplete us!

Three Way Conferences

This week a note was sent home requesting that families book in a

time for a three way conference. These are scheduled to be held

next week (Week 10) on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. We would

appreciate if you could return these preference forms as soon as

possible, to allow us time to schedule families and return this

information in a timely manner. If you are unable to attend on the

dates provided, please do not hesitate to contact myself, Jan or

Emma and we will find a mutually convenient time.

Reading

Throughout this term I have attended a number of Professional

Learning and Leaders Commitments. Many of these have

reiterated the importance of daily reading for students. I just want-

ed to add a quick reminder to all families that reading aloud daily

is important, along with a short discussion or reflection on what has

been read. Please continue to support your children in their read-

ing—it is the gateway to many other learning areas!

Kind Regards,

Jess Herrewyn
