1-1. Project Background and Block Chain Adaptedness

Everyone is not ordinary in one way or the other. We all are ordinary, but
special and extraordinary in certain areas. Kind, form and degree of talent
may differ but people possess superior ability and talents in certain areas
and fields. However, very few people utilize their hidden talents in life.
“This project is a discourse and a solution to economic coexistence
of amateurism and professionalism. ”
Professionals are those who utilize their talents properly and make money
from it. However, it is difficult to deny that professionalism meaning
based on economic gains is already bubble-wrapped and over-packed by
capitalization and commercialization. Nevertheless, is it reasonable to
make much money under the name of professional? Opposingly, is it
contradictory if economic return is given to amateurs? It may be a
contradiction by definition but it may not deviate from the essence if you
are enjoying it purely and reasonably rewarded.

'Hidden talent' is in fact purely enjoying and improving craft, but it is just not being
shared to the world. But perhaps amateurism may posses more power to impress and
inspire people since it’s based on free flowing creativity and innocent motives that
can’t be brought about by professionalism where economic gain is the ultimate goal
and pressure.

How can we delimit the rage of talent? In a civilized society, talents have been
categorized and standardized, but they are becoming increasingly obscure. With the
change of cognition and power of network, category and norms of talent are gradually
breaking resulting in expansion of diversity of talents. In line with these social
changes, we thought it would be great if we could introduce a platform using block
chain and artificial intelligence technology for people to express and utilize talent
beyond existing framework, assist economic activities and help achieve self-
realization. This is the beginning of this project. Through this project, people can be
valued in more rational way for their efforts and talents and their values and benefits
will be distributed in more democratic system.
There are a number of reasons why people have not been aggressively challenging
themselves with their hidden talents, such as doubts on income generation, lack of
time and fear for comparison and criticism. Much more challenges will be made if we
are able to go beyond these reasons, if the challenge is not difficult, challenge itself is
enjoyable and even economic return can be achieved. We do not want to invite
everyone to the professional world, but we want to open up a space where people can
express their talents through the easiest and closest access, and we want to expose
them to the world even once. In other words, not only high-level talents but a lot of
people even with small talents will take part in the challenge if they can be recognized
in the process of challenge which will also include rewards. This will create a market of
huge talent pool, never seen before in size and much bigger than current pool of
professional talents.

For example who can cook better between Michelin star chef and my
grandmother? It’s not easy to answer. Because depending on the situation, the
ability or talent can be evaluated differently. Don’t you think that your
grandmother's talent in cooking can be evaluated as well? Is my grandmother's
home cooked meal less tasty compared to that of famous chefs?
In fact, we think that there are much more talents than we have recognized so
far and we should be able to respect the various talents of people around us.
And if we can provide the opportunity to value and reward these talents,
wouldn’t it make people happier and more motivated?
The definition of talent is changing. For instance, reviewing games and even
just eating foods are now good contents and talents. So this is the time for
many different talents to come out and show off. Talentchain is the groundwork
for it.
1-2. Change of the Era and Significance of the Project
“The Era Of Hyperconnected & Decentralized Individuals
With Increased Competence.”
We have historically used the term mass or public for ordinary people. Public
has dual status one as sovereigns of a country and at the same time objects of
reign. But historically public (most of the people) were usually governed by
elites as political objects or fundamentals to maintain their wealth and power.
But the time is changing. The public is not the former masses because of the
change in the social perception and rapidly expanding network technology. The
mass of limited information acquisition and limited self-expression is already
over.

The public is moving forward two directions: autonomy and diversity. Diversity is
produced and expanded on the basis of autonomy, and today's ordinary people
have much more diverse and clear 'interpretation and view' of what happens in
the world than ever before. Now, they are not persuaded or brainwashed by the
power elites, but they judge, make decisions and actively promote their
'opinions' in society. Digital technology and Internet are the catalysts that
exploded the autonomy and diversity of the public. Current masses of people
with existing network environments already have different phases and powers
compared to old days.
The terms used to denote new forms of public are 'Decentralized Individuals’ of
Yochai Benkler 1) ,' Networked Individualism’ of Barry Wellman2) and Peer
Individualism. Behind these concepts of replacing old characteristics of public is
emergence of social system called the network information society. Taken
together, the masses standing at the edge of the elite no longer exist. There is no
public as a homogeneous and uniform group. There are individuals with opinions,
personality and competence. They are connected and they expand synergies
through collaboration. Among the core technologies of the block chain, the flow
of P2P technology as the foundation of society is a symptom of fading of the old
public. Now, the masses are transforming into networked individuals who are
self-asserted, profitable and power-generating. Seemingly dispersed individuals
with more capabilities than ever before, unite and scatter according to their
interests and themes.
In this sense, uniform information to networked individuals is useless and
worthless. Here is why customized information that can contribute to their value
and benefit is useful for each lives. If we focus only on 'connected' by the
network, we will still stick to production of uniform information, but if we focus on
‘individuals' we will focus our energy on their various interests and benefits.

As described above, we can say that this age is 'the era of decentralized and
hyperconnected individuals with increased competence'. Individual
competence is growing and expanding with the change of social cognition and
development of technology. The reason for increase in individual capacity is
rapid spreading and sharing of information, opportunities of direct and indirect
learning and various expressions and collaborative developments through SNS
and video platform. The opportunity to be exposed by these IT technologies is
strengthening individual intellectual ability, talent and creativity and the value
monopolization of the power elite group (professionals, etc.), which has been
taken for granted, will gradually spread and expand down to the networked

increased competence? This project, which started with this question is to
reinterpret talents and abilities of ordinary and particularly extraordinary
individuals and allow more people to express, communicate and appreciate their
talents
Block chain is the key technology that promotes this and rationally implements
decentralization and democratization based on strong security and technically
promote win-win growth. The characteristics of such a block chain are that it
allows to move away from original distribution scheme where profits are already
preoccupied by small number of power groups, thereby allowing more free and
diverse individual capabilities to be proven and compensated reasonably. It is a
technology that allows individuals with increased competence to strengthen their

2-1. Term Definition
Before explaining what the talentchain is, what functions and roles it has, what
DAPPs are targeting, how it works and how it will change the market, below table
explains general terms used in this white paper and defines protocol and DApp.

Protocol
Refers to the communication rules and commitments necessary to facilitate data communication between multiple nodes and to facilitate the functioning of cryptography and DAPPs. This white paper also refers to the back-end basis for the operation of the talentchain.
DApp
Decentralized Application. An application that operates on the protocol and decentralized network nodes. It also refers to services provided by applications or front-end service providers. In the talentchain, there are two types of DApps which one is the core DApp as a portal for expression of talent and the others are service DApps for talent utilization.
Node
This is a unit of terminal that stores protocol information and transaction information blocks, which enables protocol and DAPP to be executed on the decentralized network. Nodes are gathered in peer-to-peer network form to enable decentralization. This white paper also refers to the servers and consortium organizations for the back-end infrastructure of the talentchain.

It is the principal of the project, the name of the protocol, and its cryptocurrency is Fanzy. The unit of the currency is Fanzy (referred to as [ˈfænzi]). A fanzy is a digital asset designed to act as a means of exchange. It uses a cryptographic method to secure the transaction, control the creation of additional units, and authenticate the transfer of the asset.

Because talent is difficult to measure accurately in numbers, a qualitative assessment of how much effort, how much care and how well doing are needed. POTIt is a systematic and quantitative summary of talent values through distributed processing deep learning algorithm at each node, stands for proof of talent, and is called ‘pot[pɑ:t]’.

2-2. Protocol Introduction
Talentchain is a C2C2B shared economy protocol that enables people to connect
and empower their talent. It’s an economic foundation which enables hidden
talents(POT) to be exposed, utilized and rewarded with Fanzy(crypto currency)
during the process without deviating from intrinsic functions and roles of
currency.
As mentioned earlier, two major role of the protocol is, talent value creation and
talent utilization. A creator expresses talent in DApp and when fans see and prove
the talent by means of qualitative evaluation and Fanzy deposit, the creator's
talent is expressed systematically and quantitatively. After seeing presented
POTs, talent is provided at the request of a user who needs the creator’s talent,
and in return, the user pays Fanzy to the creator.

The use of Fanzy can be applied to both DApp and the real world. For
example, a person who wants to become a singer expresses their talent
as a singer through DApp, and the creation of a POT by supporting fans,
after that, the entertainment agency selects the talented people who
meet their requirement by watching generated the POT. And then they
make contracts and make opportunities of debut.
In the example above, contracts with agency, music track and album sales
and singer activity fall into the use of Fanzy and it will be applied across
online and offline as a structure in which Fanzy compensation is provided

The most stable and desirable monetary system is a system whereby
monetary supply can be appropriately made in response to demands,
resulting in a monetary equilibrium. These schemes can be seen in the
civilian monetary system of the free banking system. In the history of

The talentchain issues cryptocurrency equal to demands based on talent expression,
proof, visualization and utilization. It has the plan to issue 3.0 billion fanzy (initial
setting: 1 fanzy = 1 USD) for five years after the beta version release, and issue

Among the core technologies of above-mentioned talentchain, POT generation
algorithm, Fanzy and POT transaction processing and Fanzy reward algorithm have
been verified by developing an alpha version with Ethereum hardfork. As a result,

Tolstoy wanted to tell in his life. The paradox is that life was really terrible
because it was so carefree and affluent, wealthy and satisfying to others!
This is the key.
Why was it terrible? What was lacking? In case of Ivan, shortage is
summarized as 'life without himself'. His life was a life that seemed to be
a desirable life according to social standards. Ivan's life was a successful
one, but Ivan himself was not in it. He was talented, clever and sociable.
Everything his boss thought was right was right for him. Always stood by
opinions of majority and elites and lived comfortable life. Ivan Ilyich
married a wonderful wife who was recognized by others, who raised his
social status and even built his own home in line with the trends of the
richest and the results were very good.

But Ivan's own taste was not reflected at all. So there was nothing that
attracts people's attention. He has lived well so far. But something was
missing. A successful life without Ivan Ilyich himself. Many people liked
Ivan. As in today’s standards he owned solid human network.
Human beings are 'people', not 'networks'. What he had was a wide
range of connections, 'networks', but no true relationships. Without
people, the network is meaningless. If there is not a single person with
whom I have an empathy, what good is the connection to thousands of
people, and what does it mean?
In other words, what was absent in Ivan's life was 'to live sincerely as
himself' and 'empathy'. This is what Tolstoy emphasized. He tells this
story in [The Pathway of Life]. "The greatest happiness of people in this
world is living by oneself and true harmony with others." In other words,
the best success in life is not the money or the success that holds honor
and power, but living as myself within true relationships with people.
What good is it if there is no one to sympathize with me? His life was
terrible because this was absent.
[The Death of Ivan Ilyich] shows a human being as a mortal, reflecting
death and ultimately overcoming it. On the face of it, Ivan seems to have
been on top of his life and gradually coming down toward death after
getting incurable disease. Walking downhill from life to death. But as Ivan
begins to awaken spiritually on life and death, that is, "All pain comes from
my life," he starts to move upward from death to life.

Ivan’s life was wealthy and successful and only looked good to others but
in fact, it was a horrible one similar to death, a life that was lacking most
important qualities. As Ivan's reflection on life and death continued, he
could feel that going up was actually going down and going down was
actually going up. Below is the description.
“Lust, hypocrisy and lifeless affairs, spent a year, two years ,ten years
and twenty years. A life that was always the same, continuation of lifeless
life. I thought I was moving up the mountain. But in fact, it was coming
down the mountain at a constant rate. Yes it was. From a social point of
view I was climbing a mountain. But the fact is that my life was getting far
below my feet. What is this? I can not do this. Life can not be so
meaningless anymore."
So he resisted till the end. He was pouring out his hands in pain for a few
days. Then his hand touched his son's head. The son grabbed his hand
and brought it to his lips, and he burst out crying. At this very moment,
the entire life of Ivan was changed.
"At this very moment, Ivan Ilyich saw the light, and the moment he saw
the light, he believed there was room for improvement."
Here is a message from Tolstoy. As long as life continues, there is always
room for improvement. So we can change and enter into new dimensions
of life. Then, one can reconcile with false relationships which was only
realized at the verge of death and even reconcile with death of his body.

Tolstoy explored the question of 'how to live?' for his entire lifetime. And
it naturally led to a question of 'how to die'. The way of life determines
the way of death. 'To live well' means 'to die well'. What is his thoughts
on 'good living'? Money, power and honor are important. Tolstoy does
not deny this secular standard of happiness. However, even if it ‘looks’
like successful life, it can be a 'horrible life' if myself is not in it.
A good life begins with self-confidence, liberty from others’ view, in
short, self-esteem. And yet another condition is empathy and true
interrelation. Any success will feel empty if there is no compassion that
comes from a true relationships with others. And vacuity of life is paired
with vacuity of death. Empathy and mutual compassion free us from
vacuity of death. As in the case of Ivan, people can grow and change until
the very end of life.
No one can live a perfect life. We all make mistakes, fail, frustrate and
regret. But we can always choose a life full of faith, sympathy and love for
ourselves. Wouldn’t you live a more meaningful and happy life if you
courage yourself out of your own shell and communicate with the world in
an authentic way? That would have been the story that Tolstoy wanted to
tell us throughout his life.
