When does validation occur?

• Before assessment (to look at the design of the tools, interpretation of units). This ensures that assessors have a common understanding.
During
• During assessment (to look at the process of assessment and how the assessors organise the event, carry out the activities, administer tools, communicate with candidates).

• After assessment (to look at how effective the assessment was and the accuracy and consistency of judgments).
