TRANSCRIPT

WELCOME. Thank you for joining the 5th Annual TackleALZ LA campaign, where two teams of women compete in a fierce but friendly flag football game to help raise awareness and funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease! VOLUNTEER-LED. TackleALZ LA is a volunteer-led campaign coordinated by the Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles (ALZGLA) Young Professionals Committee (YPC). The YPC is a group of volunteers working to fight Alzheimer's through fundraising, education, community engagement, and peer support. TackleALZ participants volunteer time and energy to fundraise and train for game day. THE MOVEMENT. Both TackleALZ and YPC are part of a large movement of young people who are passionate about ending Alzheimer’s and want to take action NOW! Since its inception TackleALZ LA campaigns have hosted over 200 participants who have brought awareness to the cause and have raised over $205,000. LOCAL HELP FOR LOCAL NEEDS. 100% of funds raised through TackleALZ LA, support the mission of ALZGLA. ALZGLA has been serving families in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties for 35 years and is committed to providing innovative programs and services, and funding of research efforts. Some of these programs and services include a 24/7 Helpline, social worker services, early stage services, activities for patients and caregivers, support groups, community education, and professional training. WHAT’S BALLZ4ALZ? is a movement developed by the YPC to combine sporting events and philanthropy to further our cause. WE'RE HERE FOR YOU 24/7 www.alzgla.org | 844.HELP.ALZ
