Area of Responsibilities:

1. Make a presentation as to pitch the idea for the special event.

2. Sit in a meeting to take client’s brief.3. Prepare a proposal according to the needs

and demands of the client.

4. Making event’s area layouts and sketch to get an idea about the decorations.

5. Work with the team to complete the operations.

6. Cross check all the work done as not to leave any loop holes.

7. Ask for testimonials after handling it over to client.

Learning from the training:

1. I learnt how to pitch a client as to generate business from the lead.

2. Providing proposal and understanding the mindset of the client and how to respond back to their queries.

3. Making a checklist for the material and things required so that not a single important thing is left behind.

4. Checking for the availability of the venue and other necessary details related to it.

5. Providing proper brief to florist and other heads.

6. Supervising the labors correctly to get the best results so as to satisfy our client.

7. Be ready with alternatives and back up plans that can be implemented if any crisis happens.

8. Have proper first aid box and should look after the needs of the labors as well.

9. Testing of all the electrical equipment before the event.

10.Time management.

Experience:As a wedding planner and operations trainee, it was my first experience and provided me an opportunity to grow professionally. I got to know about the working and other tactics to conduct an event and what are the necessary measures to keep the event on track. My mentor helped me grow as an event person and I learnt how to spend money

reasonably. I experienced the working and planning process for the wedding and the necessary elements required and how minute details should be taken care of. Sitting with client for meeting was helpful for me to understand the psychology and propose the idea that can be executed. Hence, it increased my passion towards event and I want to polish my skills further working under different genres.
