Cycle 2Reading• G9: numerical value [1-2 mark items]• Marks for Language LO is cumulative
[EDM]Writing• Text type is open
Cycle 3Reading• EDMs for G10-11 [0.25, 0.5, 1 mark items]• ER=50% of total valueWriting• Students must respond to the prompt in
a specific text type. Writing tasks arescaffolded – visuals only. [EDM levels =/5 marks]
• EW=50% of total value
Cycle 2Reading• G9: EDM levels [0.25, 0.5, 1 mark items]• Language LO is marked by item level [E,D, & M level language items]Writing• Students must respond to the prompt in a specific text type. Text types

Text A: Persuasive textTexts that systematically present a point of view or seek to persuade an audience. Text types include, for example, advertisements, opinions, argumentative texts. Text B: Imaginative textText types include, for example, fables, short stories, novels, poetry, and recounts. Text C: Information textText types include, for example, letters, reports, descriptions, biographies, explanations, reviews, and news articles. Text D: Procedural text Texts that provide instructions on how to do something so that people can successfully perform activities in safe, efficient and appropriate ways.
