ΔT Software

The ΔT software is the most economic solution on the market. Created to provide all the essential information with the most user-friendly software for truly outstanding Cost - Performance with minimal operator training.

However it is also versatile: • Import pictures showing the theormocouple attachments • Independent labelling • Upper & lower process limit set points can be defi ned • Input the oven zone number and length • Label the soldering system.

All this information can be stored and then compared including an overlay function to make fast & easy comparison of individual data sets. These data sets can even be imported into your own personalised templates using your own pre-defi ned process conditions.

When a print-out is required you can decide how much information you want to include!

Understanding the thermal excursions on your electronic circuit assembly are critical to reducing solder defects thereby cutting down on production waste and greatly improving end-product reliability.

Since the advent of lead-free alloys with their normally far higher melting points, ensuring that a small component doesn’t fry and that a big component reaches soldering temperature is critical. Connecting a thermo-couple to 5 diff erent locations on an assembly, as it moves through the soldering process, will give the process engineer the data required to maintain what is often a very narrow process window.

The ΔT is able to withstand solder process temperatures >400°C. The special housing or thermal shield, even permits safe use in vapour-phase soldering systems.

Many thermal profi ling systems have a fi xed sampling rate that does not pick up the wide temperature excursions experienced in wave soldering. ΔT however, incorporates dynamic sampling that ensures accurate temperature logging by varying the sampling rate.

ΔT is simple and easy to use. Connect the thermocouples, switch on the instrument and place the ΔT into its special housing. It is now ready to use.

Once the measurement is complete, simply connect ΔT to its USB cable interface and connect to the PC. If you forget to download the data before switching the system off , don’t worry, the last test run is automatically stored in the ΔT memory. Having collected this valuable data, the process engineer then wants the simplest means by which to display the results, but also to have fl exibility in the software to include relevent information to the Statistical Process Control in use. There is an ever growing amount of important and relevant information required but this normally results in having a very high capital cost to acquire such sophistication, not any more!
