What does your business need?We know you have a brief, a budget, a set of objectives and many stakeholders to provide training for and that does not always sit nicely in an off-the-shelf package. That’s ok. We’ve built our business around tailoring learning solutions around your business needs. If we had to sum up Quanta Training we would use the word ‘flexible’.
1.Off-the-Shelf Public Course
Consider the scheduled courses held at our Training Centre in Worcester. These are perfect if you are local to us (we are 10 minutes off the M5) and if you have just 2 or 3 employees who need training.
4.On-Site Training
Simply, your training in your premises. The Trainers come to you so your teams have less time travelling, saving time and money.
2.Tailored Courses
When you tailor a course, you can select chunks of content from any of the syllabus so your teams are only spending time on what is relevant.
5.Consultation
Unlike many consultants and coaches who will find an excuse to stay in your business forever, we aim to spend a concentrated amount of time in your company, observe, share some feedback with you, then empower you to get on with it yourself.
3.Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
Not sure which areas you need to focus on? No problem. We can carry out a no-obligation Training Needs Analysis (TNA) where our experts will sit down with you to fully grasp what you need.
6.Tailored Training and Consultation Packages
Working as a partner with you, Quanta will act as your training provider and be an extension of your internal teams. We have many long term, high profile customers who have chosen us to consult and provide holistic training solutions.
• Working as a partnership – a ‘to-the-core’ understanding of your business and training needs
• Tailored courses that meet your specific business needs
• Keeping costs down by as much as 60%
• A consistent learning experience for your staff
Here are your options:

WHAT DO OUR CUSTOMERS SAY?
The course stripped all my preconceived ideas of leadership down and let me re-learn through experience and activities.Leadership in Action, Specsavers
Thanks for possibly the best course and certainly the most enjoyable I’ve attended at Quanta so far. I’ve already ruffled a few feathers back at work with lessons learnt and hope to continue in the same open, courageous manner!Scrum Master, Hadley Industries
Quanta has been instrumental in lifting our expertise and capability to provide 21st Century IT Services to our business. Through a long and trusted partnership, Quanta has gained a real insight into the pressures and challenges that we face, and have leveraged that knowledge to deliver highly effective customised Service Management training, using real-life case studies from our own world.ITSM, Jaguar Land Rover
I have worked with Quanta for a number of years, and I am always impressed not only by the quality of their trainers and venue, but also their flexibility and willingness to tailor their offering to meet our specific requirements. With regard to Apollo 13, a couple of people commented to me that it was the best training event they have ever attended, and I can’t say anything to top that!Apollo Business Game, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council
Quanta was flexible and adapted to our needs, providing a mixed DSDM and SCRUM syllabus as we requested. Meeting and determining the course content ahead of the in-house sessions helped a lot and the execution of the training was very professional, engaging and ultimately cost effective.Agile, Housing Partners
Scrum has enabled us to work together with business leaders in jointly agreeing deliverables and timescales. It has brought us closer together as we have much improved communication and clearly defined responsibilities. Scrum, Incommunities
The facilities were above expectation; everyone at Quanta was really helpful and friendly. Our trainer Stephen was informative and made the course exciting with his witty personality. ITIL®, OpenGI

The TrainersOur Trainers get the highest marks of course feedback week in and week out. They really are what sets Quanta apart and it’s all down to passion for their subject areas. Our trainers are full time employed and most have been with us for many many years. Here’s the motley crew:
Adam MontgomeryAdam Montgomery heads up our leadership and management portfolio and is wildly passionate about developing people. He has over twenty years’ experience in the training industry, has set up and ran two businesses, worked at director level with many customers, led and grown organisations, been a professional stand-up comedian, is an inspiring public speaker and is currently writing a book on the challenges of IT management.
Stephen MortonStephen has 20 years’ experience in the IT industry. A member of the Institute of IT Training and British Computer Society with a degree in business computing systems, Stephen has a solid foundation upon which his ITIL® Expert qualification sits.
Alex SmithAlex knows his project management inside out, currently teaching PRINCE2®, Change Management and APM PMQ courses. He’s a real advocate for Quanta business games knowing that being part of a live scenario is by far the best way to get to grips with project management.
Tim FinchNo training is dull with Tim. He oozes a real pleasure in teaching people stuff they don’t know. Tim loves developing new courses and sharing his knowledge at many on-site customer locations. In addition to training, Tim is an experienced consultant, advising on company computing requirements. Did we mention that he also likes to read computing books and blogs in his spare time?
Howie BartripOur Agile ‘evangelist’, it’s safe to say that Howie lives and breathes an Agile life. Never to be seen without a pack of post it notes and a sharpie pen in his back pocket, Howie coaches and trains our customers by sharing his passion for more efficient ways of working.
Toby PulfordToby is a Project, Programme and Risk Management trainer with over twenty years’ experience in both public and private sector delivery. An accountant by profession, he is a rare breed in that he does indeed have a sense of humour. Very much a family man, if you meet him, no doubt you will hear about the ‘Boos’ in his attempt to bring aspects of the subject to life.
Vicky BellatoVicky is an International Coach Federation (IFC) qualified coach and has worked with both individuals and teams to create changes in behaviour and culture. She is currently working towards her TAP.cert.
Martin LaslettMartin is a Systems trainer specialising mostly in Microsoft products, with over 20 years’ experience in training, contracting and managing networks. He currently delivers courses on Windows Server and client operating systems, Virtualisation, Active Directory, IIS web server, Network security, System Center products and automated deployments.
Adam White-BowerAdam has over 17 years’ experience in IT, training and consultation. He specialises in IT service management, knowing all things COBIT® and ITIL®. Adam always endeavours to put an innovative and engaging spin on his teaching and no two courses are ever the same.
Jason FordJason is one of the technical trainers here at Quanta covering areas such as the CompTIA course track and Microsoft systems and applications. Jason has previously worked as a web designer, system administrator and technical consultant for organisations including a plant nursery and web service provider.
When he’s not at Quanta, Jason is an avid American Football fan and can also occasionally be found singing and dancing with local Amateur Gilbert and Sullivan societies. He does however promise to keep the theatrics to a minimum in the classroom.
Quanta Business Games steer away from traditional training methods and instead puts delegates into a situational based learning environment with real life scenarios, pressures and challenges.
• Compresses time for fast learning
• Magnifies and explores actual working behaviour
• Increases retention of knowledge
• Identifies and deals with hidden issues without conflict
• Strengthens the feedback loop via emotional connections with experiences
• Relaxes people to talk and reflect upon themselves without the feeling of being attacked or judged
The crowds are waiting…competitors are watching expectantly. Can Project Phoenix resurrect your theme park’s dwindling trade or is the ride of your life likely to derail before it even begins? You need to bring all your Project Management excellence to ensure success. Can you live up to those high expectations?
Quanta's Project Phoenix business game bridges the gap between knowledge and behaviour, enabling delegates to learn for themselves the importance of not just learning, but applying sound project principles. Each team member will have the opportunity to experience various roles with the project – how will you ace up to being Project Manager as the launch date approaches?
87 hours from home. Your spacecraft is slowly dying. You have a serious problem, unless you and the ground support staff start working as a team to solve it, people will die. But remember, time is running out. And fast. Welcome to the Apollo 13 – an IT Service Management (ITSM) case experience.
You will gain first-hand knowledge of ITSM theory and learn how ITSM processes are used in other environments. Understand the interdependence of processes and their impact on business continuity. Learn how good design can improve the performance of the service department. Understand how good processes can be improved by designing and implementing as a team and the importance of a successful awareness campaign.
Your gear is packed, the hatches are battened, now it’s down to your team to find the HMS Terror, Franklin’s ill-fated last command. You’ll have to use all your Scrum skills to balance the salvage operation with your secondary commission to carry out important scientific research in the area and return to port before the ice sets in.
Individuals returning from the simulation will be able to dive into Scrum at the deep-end having practised their skills in a controlled environment. They will understand what value means to the business, and particularly how rapidly releasing features to customers ensures that this is maximised. Vitally, being a simulation, Raise the Terror will help to bridge the gap between knowing Scrum and living Scrum.

Project and Programme ManagementProject and Programme Management is often feared as a complex, mammoth procedure, when in reality, it is just about breaking it down into basic organisational skills. Excellent project leaders are able to see the bigger picture and make individuals in a team perform to the best of their ability in order to achieve the collective goal.
Our world-class Project and Programme Management frameworks provide a set of tools that act as a pathway to direct managers from the start of a project all the way through to completion.

Agile is an iterative and incremental approach that supports teams in their goal to build the right product or service quickly, while minimising exposure to risk and ensuring quality. Agile frameworks such as Scrum or DSDM drive the creative engines of market innovators such as Netflix, Uber and Amazon, but, more recently, the approach has spread to industries as diverse as healthcare, journalism and education.
By embracing principles such as 'harnessing change for the customer's competitive advantage' and focusing on the truism that 'working product is the primary measure of progress', Agile could be the key to achieving your organisation's goals.
Quanta's approach is always to provide the correct implementation for you, whether that's Agile coaching or training, or perhaps a combination of the two. We've experience of a variety of Agile approaches and offer training in:

ITSMWhat is ITSM?Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) is the implementation and management of quality information technology services. It is a set of procedures and functions that align IT with business goals to deliver value.
Quanta provides training, coaching and consultancy options for the most commonly used approaches to ITSM, the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL®), managing information security with RESILIA™ and establishing goverance with Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT®).
Bespoke ITSM Training: TailoredCreate your own training day/s to put you on the right IT and services management path. Generating your perfect course allows you to focus on your core priority areas. You can choose to condense your training into fewer days to increase learning intensity and limit the number of hours away from the office.
For example, you can combine and set a series of days based on individual modules for ITIL®:
• Incident and Problem
• Portfolio Management and Service Catalogue
• Incident, Problem and Change
ITSM Consultancy and CoachingWant to know everything ITSM without the stress of exams?
With Quanta’s ITSM consultancy and coaching, individuals and organisations can get everything that’s needed to understand and implement ITIL® and COBIT® processes.
We’ll send in an expert who will help you identify your business challenges and then we’ll work with you for as long as needed to find a solution. We’ll then continue to act as a mentor and safety net throughout ITSM adoption or as long as we are needed.

ITIL®
ITIL® is a framework of Best Practice, made up of 5 publications that provide advice and guidance on delivering and managing IT services. Quanta offers all 3 levels of ITIL® qualifications to prepare you for working in all areas of the ITSM lifecycle.
It is a customisable framework that aims to state how service management is applied within a particular department. Training is suitable for beginners all the way through to the most experienced IT professionals.
ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service ManagementThis course is a great starting point for those looking to begin their journey with ITSM and ITIL® and achieve their first industry recognised qualification in this area. It takes delegates through the fundamentals of the lifecycle, processes and terminology of ITSM (3 days, 2 points towards ITIL® Expert qualification).
ITIL® Practitioner Certificate in IT Service ManagementThis course is aimed at people who have completed Foundation and are preparing for the challenge of implementation. It covers the relevant skills for delivering ITIL® as part of an ITSM improvement scheme, the challenges of managing organisational change and communication when delivering new processes and ways of working. (2 days, 3 points towards ITIL® Expert qualification).
ITIL® Lifecycle ModulesLifecycle modules are the next step for anyone seeking or in a management role. The courses give a better understanding of the fundamental drivers for the need for IT services and provides superior, best-practice knowledge (3 days, 3 points towards ITIL® Expert qualification).
ITIL® Capability ModulesCapability modules focus on the design and day-to-day management of ITIL® processes and practices. (5 days, 4 points towards ITIL® Expert qualification).
ITIL® Service Lifecycle – Managing Across the LifecycleThis is the final step in attaining an ITIL® Expert qualification. To achieve this examination you will need a broad understanding of the Service Lifecycle gained from the Intermediate modules.
You need a minimum of 17 ITIL® credits to be eligible to sit the MALC examination.
ITIL® ExpertTo achieve the ITIL® Expert in IT Service Management, you must successfully complete a number of Intermediate units in addition to the mandatory Foundation Level and the Managing Across the Lifecycle course, which brings together the full essence of a Lifecycle approach to Service Management, and consolidates the knowledge gained across the qualification scheme.
ITIL® MasterThis is a vocational course where no further training is required and it is the highest level that can be achieved. You must demonstrate yourself as a competent and skilled ITIL® expert with at least 4/5 years’ experience. You can only apply if you have passed the Managing Across the Lifecycle course.

We also work with you to fully understand your business and what you are aiming to achieve.
We believe that most people have huge untapped potential. We want to unlock that potential and enable you to achieve extraordinary things. We want you to have productive meetings, to focus on the important and think strategically. We want you to collaborate, spend your time wisely, be creative, forge strong relationships and build resilient teams, and in doing all of this achieve your personal and organisational goals.
How will we do this? By firstly understanding your needs, your challenges and your aspirations.
