  • 1 About Symantec Mobile Encryption for iOS Symantec Mobile Encryption for iOS allows you to send and receive encrypted email from devices running Apple iOS software. You can create new encrypted messages, reply/reply all/forward encrypted messages received, or forward encrypted messages with or without attachments.

If you have been using PGP Viewer version 1.x, you can upgrade to this version of Symantec Mobile Encryption.

Symantec Mobile Encryption requires a managed account on a Symantec Encryption Management Server with the LDAP Directory Synchronization feature enabled. If you do not have an account on the server, an account is created for you when you enroll.

The Symantec Mobile Encryption for iOS User's Guide explains how to use Symantec Mobile Encryption for iOS on your mobile device.

Note: If you are connecting to a PGP Universal Server version 3.2, you are only able to decrypt messages. To take full advantage of the features of Symantec Mobile Encryption for iOS, including encrypted replies, you must be connecting to the latest server (Symantec Encryption Management Server version 3.3) with mobile encryption enabled. Contact your administrator for more information of capabilities you get from this application.
