• Special Services and the Lower Hudson Association of Pupil Personnel Administrators co-sponsored April workshop on legal issues for special educators.

• Phyllis Rizzi helped found BOCES chapter of Special Education PTA

• Public Information has been producing slideshows and videos of BOCES events for 2 years, when possible. Slideshow made this month of the American Dreamer Awards.

• Career Services TV/Video Production teacher Tony Ely worked with MSG Varsity to get SWBOCES videos posted on a regular basis on the MSG Varsity schools website.

• Using webinar technology, the LHRIC and Public Information have launched introductory video webinars to introduce the RIC’s new programs.

The LHRIC also:

• Conducted formal group and individual introductory sessions to LHRIC services and programs for new superintendents.

• Participated as members of school district technology planning committees• Built annual 793 Plan to collaborate with all 3 BOCES for regional planning• Held 3 LHRIC Advisory Committee meetings, which provide districts an

open forum for direct input and feedback regarding LHRIC services and initiatives.

produce Alliance, quarterly newsletter on K-12 educational technology initiatives

Facebook, Twitter, and Blog • Conducted annual Tech Expo conference

for 300 educators and administrators to share best practices

• Completed a 20-page Strategic Communications Plan this year.
