What owls eat

Shrew: related to moles (not rodents), have a longer pointed nose, weigh about 5-15g, teeth go all the way to incisors

Deer mouse: rodent, 20 g, rodent teeth have gap between incisor and back teeth

Vole: mouselike rodent, but fatter—up to 40g. Skull has angled teeth vs lobed teeth of mouse skull (above)

Pocket gopher: rodent, similar in teeth structure to voles but much larger—125-250g, burrowing animal

Rat: rodent, most closely related to mice but much bigger—200-300g
