Daniel Swartz nunca imaginó cuán lejos llegaría la técnica del cristal tallado que perfeccionó durante décadas. Ocurrió en la antigua Bohemia, el corazón de Europa, hace siglo y medio y la empresa a la que dio vida, Swarovski, es a día de hoy una referencia mundial, y un ejemplo de maridaje perfecto entre una obra de la naturaleza y el oficio de artesano. Con esta línea hemos deseado trasladar a nuestras piezas esa magia visual que caracteriza a los cristales tallados de Swarovski para crear nuevos ambientes y nuevos escenarios. También, nuevas lecturas en piezas de Bathco que nos ha encantado hacer realidad.
Daniel Swartz never imagined how far the cut glass he perfected over the course of decades would go. It happened in old Bohemia, the heart of Europe, a century and a half ago, and the company he gave life to, Swarovski, is today a worldwide leader and an example of a perfect marriage between a product of nature and the work of an artisan. With this line we wanted to imbue our pieces with this visual magic that characterises Swarovski cut glass to create new ambiances and new scenarios. And also new readings of Bathco pieces that we took great pleasure in making a reality.

WHITE CONTRASTS
Sólo quienes viven rodeados de nieve y hielo son capaces de captar los mil matices que esconde el blanco. Esta línea nace del deseo de crear piezas que sintonizaran con esa filosofía, explorando las posibilidades de ese color y añadiéndole nuevos matices gracias a los fragmentos de cristal tallado de Swarovski. Sabemos que se adaptará a ambientes sobrios pero también a apuestas barrocas, a concepciones modernas y a revisiones en clave ‘vintage’. El blanco es más que un color y los brillos de los cristales de Swarovski ayudan a que éste se camaleonice con el ambiente elegido.
Only people who live amidst snow and ice are capable of capturing the thousand nuances that white conceals. This line was born out of the desire to create pieces attuned to that philosophy by exploring the possibilities of this colour and adding fresh nuances to it thanks to fragments of Swarovski cut glass. We know that in subdued ambiances, as well as in Baroque propositions, modern concepts and vintage-inspired revisions, white is more than just a colour. And that the sparkles of Swarovski crystals help it to blend in, chameleon-like, with the chosen ambiance.

Descubierta en el Lejano Oriente, la porcelana es otra afortunada obra de artesanía con más de veinte siglos de historia. Maridarla con los cristales de Swarovski no es sino sumar las virtudes de ambos materiales para multiplicar su brillo, su encanto y, a la vez, reivindicar el carácter imperecedero de la creación de un artesano. Creamos esta colección para subrayar aún más la importancia de la luz en una estancia. También para multiplicar la incidencia de ésta, siempre con la ayuda de pequeños detalles –los cristales, los relieves geométricos…- que contribuyen a marcar la diferencia.
Discovered in the Far East, porcelain is another fortunate craft, and one with over twenty centuries of history. Pairing it with Swarovski crystals means simply combining the virtues of the two materials to multiply their lustre and charm and, at the same time, assert the enduring nature of an artisan’s creation. We created this collection to further underline the importance of light in a room. And also to multiply the impact of this, always with the help of small details–the crystals, the geometric reliefs...–that help mark the difference.

Del contraste surge el hechizo y bajo esta filosofía surge también una línea de piezas de porcelana natural con estampados Bathco y aplicaciones de cristales de Swarovski. Es nuestra apuesta por una sobriedad elegante y por un uso más calculado de las piedras talladas, presentes en el lavabo pero sin llegar a cubrir éste. Es otro paso para que la pieza forme parte de los engranajes de una estancia como un elemento perfectamente armonizado, que la personalice y la haga única pero sin convertirse en el epicentro de ésta. El sutil pintado a mano es otra de las señas de nuestra identidad que queríamos que subrayara esa idea. Las creaciones de Natural Porcelain son como los movimientos de una pieza de música clásica, capaces de albergar diferentes estados de ánimo y estéticas sin dar la espalda a la esencia original.
Out of contrast arises enchantment, and under this philosophy also arises a line of natural porcelain pieces with Bathco prints and Swarovski crystal applications. Our proposal of elegant restraint and a more calculated use of cut stones, present on the washbasin but without completely covering it, is another step towards making the piece mesh with a room as a perfectly harmonious element. One that personalises it and renders it unique but without becoming its epicentre. The subtle hand painted is another sign of our identity that we wanted to highlight.The Natural Porcelain creations are like the movements of a symphony in classical music, capable of accommodating different moods and aesthetics without turning their back on the original essence.
