An-Najah National University
About this Report This report highlights the activities and actions An-Najah National University has carried
out in order to address the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United
Nations in 2015.
An-Najah National University has been always trying to address the SDGs. Since its
establishment, An-Najah National University has been working determinedly to build
and achieve sustainable cities and communities, starting with the university itself.
Palestine has a limited access to its lands, forests, water resources, seas and other
natural resources due to Israeli restrictions on our resources. This has prevented the
university to fully achieve all SDGs such as Life Below Water, and Life on Land were not
applicable. Nevertheless, An-Najah is doing its best in achieving all sustainable
development goals that will improve the quality of life in and off campus and save the
planet. In this regard, An-Najah National University dedicated 18% of its total budget to
sustainability for the academic year 2018-2019.
