SurreyLearn is the University’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE); it is used to support and enrich your learning and professional development. Your module tutors will use it in a variety of ways which might include, providing learning acvies, discussions and online tests as well as addional resources such as lecture slides and hand-outs. Alongside the module areas, support areas will also be available containing useful materials such as metables, handbooks, exam details and important news and updates. Login to SurreyLearn open an Internet browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox) go to: hp://surreylearn.surrey.ac.uk log in with your University of Surrey username and password. Your tutors will provide detailed instrucons. Personalising your experience Complete your profile Create a community within your classes by designing a personalised profile, allowing your classmates to learn more about you. Set Noficaons Ensure you don't miss any important announcements and deadlines by choosing to receive instant email noficaons about course events such as news updates, amendments to content, assignment due dates and discussion messages. Support and Guidance The ‘Student Common Room’ (accessed via the SurreyLearn homepage) contains user guides for SurreyLearn, important informaon regarding academic integrity, a free to use Turnin plagiarism detecon facility, plus advice on the other facilies and resources that are available. Faculty or school specific guidance will be provided by your module tutors as necessary or via your department's Student Support area. Things to note You may not have access to all relevant areas in SurreyLearn when you inially log-in.
