President’s Report
It’s summer at last after a seemingly endless winter in lockdown. Now we can get together and enjoy our pre-Christmas celebrations. All our Activity Groups will be taking a break over Christmas so please check our website www.lifesurfcoast.org.au for the dates of ceasing and recommencing each activity, or contact your Convenor. Our Christmas Picnic at Bellbrae Reserve on Thursday, 3rd December at noon should be a lot of fun. We encourage you to wear a crazy Christmas hat or T-shirt and those zany earrings that you bring out each year, to share some Christmas cheer. Bernie Convery and his fellow Wanderers are off to Phillip Island to enjoy another beautiful part of Victoria and a fun-filled itinerary. Safe travels everyone!! Keep an eye on our website for more upcoming events as our COVID restrictions ease. Please welcome our new members: Louise Tippett, Geraint Breese, Jan Taylor, Bruce Marriage, Leanne Holmes and Shani and Rod Hill. We know that they will make many new friends and enjoy many good times with us. This is the last Newsletter to be edited by June Marks. June’s creativity and skill has produced a comprehensive and attractive newsletter and I congratulate and thank her for a job well done. Many thanks to all who contributed photos for the ‘COVID-19 Inspirations’ feature in this edition. It is wonderful to see what a talented and creative group we are. I wish you all a wonderful summer and a very joyous and peaceful Christmas and look forward to a much more active 2021.

Well the year has gone by – but we can't say uneventfully (but probably thankfully) with us scoring only one Movie for 2020. Many members have tried keeping in touch by phone or Cafe coffee dates, which has been really appreciated. A Catch-up picnic lunch at Taylor Park was organised to try to provide some extra Escapism for those craving it. We look forward to the New Year containing Movies and Lunch. Enjoy a different Festive Season 2020 as we head together for a Special 2021 with our Group. Many thanks to those who have kept in touch over the year, continue to - Stay Safe, Keep Happy and Healthy! Happy Christmas and thanks to all.
Dine Out
Heather Moore 0419 398 824 moggyemmajane@ gmail.com
The next Dine Out will be in February: Friday 19 February 2021 at 12 noon. There will be no Dine Out in January due to all the holiday makers. Heather will be in touch with details of the venue. Contact her if you’d like to be on the list.
Resistance Training Paul 0439 044 006 paulandali41@ gmail.com Bernie: 0468 314 452 [email protected]
Due to the continuing COVID-19 restrictions, the time when we can resume Resistance Training sessions is unknown. However we are looking into changing to a larger venue, possibly the new Surf Coast Sports & Recreation Centre due to be completed in January 2021. The cost and availability of this venue are still unknown but we are continuing discussions with the manager. We hope you are keeping fit and well and we look forward to the day when we can get together again.
