    This guide explains the insurance services that you receive when you purchase

    SureSave travel insurance through a distributor or authorised representative

    o Cerberus Special Risks Pty Limited (Cerberus), the underwriting agent o the

    insurer, Lloyds. It also covers the charges or those ser vices, how any complaints

    you may have will be dealt with and our proessional indemnity insurance

    arrangements. We give it to you when you ask us to arrange travel insurance or

    you to help you decide whether to use our services.

    This guide does not apply i you purchase SureSave travel insurance through an

    insurance broker.

    I you are interested in SureSave travel insurance, you will also receive a Product

    Disclosure Statement (PDS). This describes the main eatures o the policy and

    will help you decide i it is suitable or you.

    Abt sCerberus is licensed to advise on and deal in general insurance. Cerberus has a

    binding agreement with certain Underwriters at Lloyds which allows it to issue,

    vary and renew travel insurance and to handle claims or them. Cerberus has

    appointed SureSave to manage its insurance activities. See below or inormation

    about how to contact Cerberus and SureSave.

    A distributor or authorised representative o Cerberus will arrange travel

    insurance or you. See the back o this brochure or contact inormation and

    relevant details.

    Srcs prddThe distributor or authorised representative can give you inormation about

    SureSave travel insurance and can arrange to issue, vary or renew your insurance.

    I they are an authorised representative o Cerberus, they can also provide some

    general advice about SureSave travel insurance. I you need any more advice

    than the distributor or authorised representative are able to provide, you can call

    SureSave on 1300 787 376.

    The distributor, authorised representative and SureSave all act on behal o

    Cerberus and Lloyds Underwriters, and not on your behal. Cerberus is

    responsible or the insurance services that are provided to you.

    Hw w ar padFor providing these services, SureSave, Cerberus, and the distributor / authorised

    representative each receive a percentage o the premium when you buy a

    policy. Employees o Cerberus and SureSave receive an annual salary. SureSave

    employees may also receive a bonus based on perormance criteria, including

    sales.

    reasonable time ater you receive this FSG and beore your policy is issued.

    which has an internal dispute resolution process designed to resolve any

    complaints or disputes that may arise. You may call Cerberus or you may send

    your claim to Cerberus in writing at the address shown over.

    I you are still dissatised ater discussing your complaint with us, you should

    reer the matter to Lloyds General Representative in Australia or consideration

    (or contact details, please reer to the policy wording).

    I your complaint is still not resolved to your satisaction, you may contact t he Financial

    Ombudsman Service (FOS), which is an independent external dispute resolution

    mistakes relating to our insurance services. The policy meets the requirements

    o the Corporations Act and provides cover or claims relating to the conduct

    o Cerberus or its employees, even ater that person ceases to be employed,

    provided that the claim is notied to them when it arises and within the relevant

    policy period.

    to pay any relevant compulsory government charges, taxes or levies (e.g.

    Stamp Duty and GST) in relation to your policy. These amounts will be set out

    you do not purchase adequate cover or your respiratory disease, you may not be

    covered or any claims relating to a new airways inection.

    we, our and us includes Cerberus and its distributors and authorised

    representatives, SureSave and Specialty Assist) collect personal inormation

    rom you and others (including those authorised by you such as your doctors,

    hospitals and persons whom w consider necessary). Any personal inormation

    you provide is used by us to evaluate and arrange your travel insurance. W

    also use it to administer and provide the insurance services and manage your

    and our rights and obligations in relation to the insurance services, including

    managing, processing and investigating claims. W may also collect, use

    and disclose it or product development, marketing, research, IT systems

    maintenance and development, recovery against third parties and or any other

    Accidn means an unexpected, unintended, unoreseeable event causing

    injury. The accidn must happen while you are on your rip and covered under

    the policy.

    AICD/ICD means an implantable cardioverter-debrillator (ICD), also known as an

    automated implantable cardioverter-debrillator (AICD).

    Amoun Payabl means the total amoun payabl or the policy in accordance

    with the rates set out in the Schedule o Benets. It includes administration ees

    payable to the agent, stamp duty, policy issue ee, GST i applicable and the

    premium payable to the insurer.

    Applicabl limi means the sum insured specied in the Schedule o Benets or

    the Plan selected on the travel insurance policy.

    Ariss or Arising means directly or indirectly arising or in any way connected with.

    Carrir or Carrirs means an aircrat, vehicle, train, vessel or other public

    transport operated under a license or the purposes o transporting passengers.

    This denition excludes taxis.

    Chronic means a persistent and lasting condition in medicine. W do notconsider that chronic pain has to be constantpain, however in many situations it

    has a pattern o relapse and remission. The pain, disease or medical issue may be

    long-lasting, recurrent (occurred on more than 2 occasions) or characterised by

    long suering.

    Counry o Rsidnc means the country o which you are a citizen or

    permanent resident.

    Dpndn means your children or grandchildren not in ull time employment

    who are under the age o 21 and are travelling with you on thejourny.

    epidmic means a sudden development and rapid spreading o a contagious

    disease in a region where it developed in a simply endemic state or within a

    previously unscathed community.

    excss means the amount which you must rst pay or each claim arising rom

    the one event beore a claim can be made under your policy.

    Family means you and your travel partner named in the Certicate o Insurance

    and your dpndn children/grandchildren under the age o 21, at the date o

    policy issue, travelling with you, listed as covered on your Certicate o Insurance.

    Hom means your usual place o residence in Australia.

    Injury means a bodily injury caused solely and directly by violent, accidental,

    visible and external means, during your period o cover and which does not result

    rom any illness, sicknss or disease.

    Insolvncy means bankruptcy, provisional liquidation, liquidation, appointment

    o a receiver or administrator, entry into a scheme o arrangement, statutory

    protection, stopping the payment o debts or the happening o anything o asimilar nature under the laws o any jurisdiction.

    Journy means the time rom when you leave your hom to go directly to the

    place you depart rom on your travels and ends when you return to your hom.

    Luggag and Prsonal ecs means any personal items owned by you and that

    you take with you or buy on your journy and which are designed to be worn

    or carried about with you. This includes items o clothing, personal jewellery,

    photographic and video equipment or personal computers, or electrical devices

    or portable equipment. However, it does not mean any business samples or items

    that you intend to trade.

    Ovrsas means in any country other than your counry o rsidnc.

    Pandmic means a orm o an pidmic that extends throughout an entire

    continent, even the entire human race.

    Pr-xising Mdical Condiion means:

    (a) An ongoing medical or dental condition o which you are aware, or related

    complicationyou have, or the symptoms o which you are aware;

    (b) A medical or dental condition that is currently being, or has been

    investigated, or treated by a health proessional (including dentist or

    chiropractor) at any time in the past, prior to policy purchase;

    (c) Any condition or which you take prescribed medicine;

    (d) Any condition or which you had surgery;

    (e) Any condition or which you see a medical specialist; or

    () Pregnancy.

    This denition applies to you, your ravlling pary or a rlaiv.

    Public Plac means any place that the public has access to, including but not

    limited to planes, trains, cruise ships, taxis, buses, air or bus terminals, stations,

    wharves, streets, museums, galleries, hotels, hotel oyers and grounds, beaches,

    restaurants, private carparks, public toilets and general access areas.

    Rasonabl means or medical or dental expenses, t he standard level o care

    given in the country you are in or, or other expenses, the standard level you have

    booked or the rest oyour journy or, as determined by us.

    Rlaiv means any o the ollowing who is under 85 years o age and who

    is resident in Australia or New Zealand. It means your or a member oyour

    ravlling parys spouse, de acto partner, parent, parent-in-law, daughter,son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law,

    grandchild, grandparent, step-parent, step-son, step-daughter, anc or ance,

    or guardian.

    Rnal Vhicl means a rented sedan, campervan, hatchback or station-wagon,

    our wheel drive or mini bus/people mover rented rom a licensed motor vehicle

    rental company.

    Rsidn means someone who currently resides in Australia and is eligible or an

    Australian Medicare Card.

    Sickor Sicknss means a medical condition, not being an injury, which rst

    occurs during your period o cover.

    Singl means covering you and yourdpndn children/grandchildren under

    the age o 21, at the date o policy issue travelling with you listed as covered on

    your Certicate o Insurance.

    Suddn Illnss or Srious Injury means a condition which rst occurs during

    your period o cover and which necessitates treatment by a legally qualied

    medical practitioner and which results in you or any other person to which this

    Insurance applies being certied by that medical practitioner at the time as being

    unt to travel or continue with your original rip.

    travl Srvics Providr means a scheduled services airline, hotel and resort

    operator, car rental agency, bus, cruise line and railway operator.

    travlling Pary means those people dened in Family and any travelling

    companion who has made arrangements to accompany you or at least 50% o

    the rip.trip means the period o travel stated in the Certicate o Insurance.

    It begins on the date o departure as stated in the Certicate o Insurance and

    ends when you return to your normal place o residence, or when the period o

    the rip set out in the Certicate o Insurance ends, whichever happens rst.

    Unsuprvisd means:

    leaving your luggage with a person you did not know prior to commencing

    your journy

    leaving it in any position where it can be taken without your knowledge

    leaving it at such a distance fromyou that you are unable to prevent it

    being taken.

    1. The value o the unused arrangements, less any reunds due toyou iyouhave to cancel any prepaid transport or accommodation arrangements, dueto any unoreseen or unoreseeable circumstances outside oyour control.

    2. The rasonabl cost o rearranging your rip prior to the commencementoyour journy because something unoreseen and outside oyourcontrol occurs, provided that this cost is not greater than the cancellationees or lost deposits which would have been incurred had the rip been

    cancelled.

    3. The cancellation cost o tuition or course ees up to $2,000 i the solepurpose oyour rip is to attend that course and that course is cancelleddue to circumstances outside o your control.

    caused by the carrir or related to the carrir including maintenance,repairs, rescheduling, service aults, industrial activity other than a strike orcorporate takeover.

    4. A loss that relates directly or indirectly to nancial, business, proessional orcontractual arrangements. This exclusion does not apply to claimsunder Section 2A where:

    a) you or a member oyour ravlling pary are made redundant rom ull-

    time permanent employment in Australia provided you or they were notaware that the redundancy was to occur beore you purchased this policy;

    or

    b) where you are a ull-time permanent employee and prearranged leave iscancelled by your employer.
