The group is not-for-profit. The ticket price of $32.50 only covers catering and on-costs. Everyone involved (including the presenter) donates their time in the spirit of sharing. We believe the sharing of wisdom and the support of other women entrepreneurs cannot be bought or sold, it is something we gift each other because we care.
Industries range from business
services, to health, retail and publishing. Many member are solopreneurs, often working from home in service based businesses.
The Sunshine Coast Women Entrepreneurs (SCWE) is a relaxed but focused group of women entrepreneurs who have connected regularly over the past ten years.
It’s not a ‘salesy’ type environment, rather one for connecting with like minded business women and finding how we can help each other. We are all about collaboration, not competition!
Speakers are chosen based on their suitability for our niche – that is, providing business building skills with tangible take home tools. This niche provides a point of difference amongst networking groups – it’s all about practical business tips.
To give you an idea of the kinds
of subjects we cover, recently we have had workshops on various social media platforms, website optimisation, writing skills, PowerPoint, public speaking, online course creation and productivity. © 2016 Alex Mitchell
Be appreciated - by a super-involved group with almost 2000 members
Dine well - although you will not be paid, you will enjoy a fabulous two course a la carte lunch, along with hot beverages
Shine brightly- you are welcome to promote or sell your events and products at the end of your session
Stay in control - We don’t take any commissions for your sales during or after the event
Feel loved- event tickets are highly sought after and sell out weeks before each event

Ladies attend the event expecting to have a high level of interaction during the session, and take home tangible skills to assist them in taking their business to the next level.
Handouts, exercises and reflection opportunities get a great response. Asking 38 women to sit quietly and listen is unlikely to be successful
There is a 1 - 1.5 hour time slot for the speaker, including Q&A or other discussion.
You are welcome to set up a trade table for sale and also to mention any upcoming workshops or relevant services should the ladies wish to follow up. We don’t ask for any kickbacks on this – you have given more than enough by sharing your knowledge!

In your proposal, please include:
√An outline of the workshop showing your content areas and interactive activities
√Some info on how fabulous you are and why you are the best person to share this information
√Three to five specific take home skills and tips participants will learn
√What makes you different to other speakers on your business subject
A sample session can help me understand the unique aspects of your work

The group size is capped at 38 women to
retain the intimate feel, and events always
sell out in advance.
Dress code is business casual or smart
casual.
Meetings are held 1-4pm on a Saturday
afternoon in Caloundra, Sunshine Coast.

The venue has two cordless microphones, a white board and display table available.
A television screen is available for digital presentations with html cable for connection to your laptop. If you have a Mac, please supply your own cables
