SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT, HISTORY & CULTURE IN A MONTESSORI CLASSROOM Thursday, January 26 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Sunny Hollow Montessori, 636 S. Mississippi River Blvd. St. Paul 55116 This Parent Education Evening will focus on the social needs of the primary and elementary child and how a Montessori environment helps actualize the human potential within each child and classroom community. To illustrate this work, Shanna (EE) and Katie (Casa Lake) will be discussing the social environment in the primary and elementary classroom as well as: Grace and Courtesy, Conflict Resolution, Service, Group Work, Storytelling, Human History and Culture and many other aspects of social life in the Montessori environment. Primary and elementary materials and lessons relating to human history, geography and culture will be discussed. Shanna will also deliver the Third Great Lesson of Cosmic Education - The Coming of Human Beings. This evening promises to deliver a little warmth and inspiration in the midst of winter.
