SUNDAY OPPORTUNITIES

ADULT CLASSES - 10:00 am AGAPE – Room 3 The Agape Sunday School Class meets each Sunday morning at 10:00 am downstairs in Room 3. We have recently been reading the Book of Proverbs and are now considering either The Thirteen Apostles by J. Ellsworth Kalas or Rich in the Things That Count the Most by James W. Moore as our next study. Facilitator: Charlene Rawson: Contact: MZ Office (330)665-9817 SEEKERS – Room 4 Our text book is the Bible; either we do a book of the Bible or a study on a subject. We will soon be doing Old Testament and prayers. We have good participation and discussion. Facilitator: Wanda Devine: Contact: MZ Office (330)665-9817 Hazardous Saints – Rooms 5 & 7

Join us as we follow in the footsteps of six remarkable Christian “saints” who risked all for the sake of the gospel. Like Jesus, in whose footsteps they follow, each of the leaders highlighted -- Barnabas, Francis of Assisi, Thomas Cranmer, Sojourner Truth, Dorothy Day and Oscar Romero—made the powerful uncomfortable while bringing significant, lasting change to the lives of those around them and generations of believers who followed. Hazardous Saints challenges us to consider how we too can reflect the love of Christ in creative and intentional ways. We will begin this 6-week class on September 11th at 10:00 am.

Contact: Michelle Davis - [email protected] or (330)668-6044 JAVA & JESUS - Rooms 6 & 8 Come for a time of fellowship and discussion of the Sunday scripture and sermon. We will discuss the application of both to our everyday lives. No preparation needed. Come any Sunday you are available. Facilitation Shared: Contact MZ Office (330)665-9817

Facilitator: Trish Broemsen and Margie Cossin Christian: It's not what you think – Rooms 5 & 7 According to Andy Stanley, words used to describe Christians today often bear no resemblance to what Jesus wanted his followers to be known for. In this eight session video-based Bible study, Andy explores the truth and fiction behind one of the most famous brands in all of history. Participants will learn: What one word should be descriptive of every Christian, How Jesus followers should treat those outside of the faith, and Why people love Jesus, but sometimes can't stand his followers. Facilitator: Paul Levy Change the World – Rooms 6 & 8

We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. The world in which we live is starving for the hopeful message of the Gospel. When I followed my call into the ministry, it was with a prayer that God would use my life to change the world through the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Christ has that power but he depends upon us to be the vessels, sometimes whole/sometimes broken, to share that power with the world that God loves dearly. Come and join us for the study of Mike Slaughter’s book Change the World: Recovering the Message and Mission of Jesus.

Facilitator: Rev. Bill Liming
