Sunday Funday Fantasy Football Keeper League Constitution

Purpose - The purpose of the League is to enhance the NFL season through fun, fantasy football

competition.

I. Governing Body

A. Until he retires, the commissioner will be Alex Lodi, founder of the Sunday Funday Fantasy

Football Keepers League (Formerly Lexxx & Friends).

B. During the season, the commissioner will be responsible to efficiently run the day-to-day

operations of the SFFL and will be required to interpret the appropriate course of action based on

the terms outlined in the SFFL Constitution and by ESPN.

II. League Members

A. There will be 10 league members for each season. This may increase in the future with league

approval.

B. All interested members from the previous season have the right to retain their franchise as long

as they have not been banned by the commissioner.

C. Bannings will be issued as a result of franchise negligence, failure to pay league fees in a timely

manner, cheating, collusion and/or for reasons currently beyond comprehension but for which, at

said time, the league deems banning appropriate through majority vote.

III. League Setup

A. League Fees

1. Will be $50 in 2013, but may rise in future years based upon league vote.

2. Will be due no later than draft day.

B. Rosters

1. Each team will have 18 rosters spots - 11 starters, 7 bench

2. Each team will have 1 Injured Reserve Spot.

3. Starting positions will be: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Offensive Player, 1 Defensive Player, 1

Defense, 1 Kicker.

4. Maximum amount of position players on roster = QB-3, RB-6, WR-7, TE-3, DP-3, DST-3, K-3.

C. Scoring will be posted on the League Settings page.

D. Divisions – The SFFL league will be divided into two, 5-team, divisions according to the odd

vs.even number format of the draft. For example, division 1 will have teams #2,#4, #6, #8, and

#10.

IV. Draft

A. Draft Process

1. In 2013, the draft order will be a random drawing and will take place at least 2 weeks prior to

season.

2. After 2013, the draft will be determined by the final standings of the previous season. The 1st

place team of the previous season will have the last pick, the 2nd place team will have the next to

last pick, the 3rd place team will have the third to last pick, and the 4th place team will have the

4th to last pick. The remaining 6 positions will be determined through a random drawing to take

place at least 2 weeks prior to draft day.

2. The random drawing must be performed in the presence of at least 2 league members.

3. Once the draft order is determined, the draft order will be in “snake” format (1st pick in round 1,

Page 2: Sunday Funday Fantasy Football Keeper League Constitution

has last pick in round 2, and so forth).

4. The draft will either be on Labor day or the following day. The date/time will be discussed to

assure we don’t conflict with holiday plans.

5. The draft will be performed online or in person (w/skype for out of town people) based on a

majority vote.

6. The draft will be 18 rounds.

B. Keepers

1. Keepers will begin in the 2014 season.

2. Eligible keepers must be drafted and must have been on the retaining team’s roster at the

conclusion of last season. Traded players that were originally drafted may be kept by the acquiring

team.

2. Each franchise can keep a maximum of two players from the previous year’s roster, but is not

required to keeper any players.

3. By keeping a draft player, you forefeit the draft position that you acquired that player in. For

example, if you are keeping Tony Romo, who you drafted in the 3rd round, you will lose your third

pick in the new draft.

5. A player can be be kept for a maximum of 2 seasons, not including the the season in which the

player was drafted.

6. Any new franchise has the option to “adopt” an existing and unclaimed franchise’s roster and

retain eligible keepers for the new season.

7. Keepers must be turned in to the commissioner 5 days before the schedule draft time.

8. Any revisions to the keeper rule will not apply retroactively to players currently in “keeper”

status.

V. Waivers

1. All unowned players will be set as 'On Waivers' immediately after the draft, each week of play or

if dropped from another team's roster. Players on waivers will remain so for a set period of time,

during which all teams will have the opportunity to make a claim on any player. When the waiver

period expires, the player will be awarded to the team with the highest waiver priority that made

a claim, and that team will move to the end of the waiver order. This process continues until all

players with claims on them process. At this time all players not added via waivers become free

agents which can be claimed by any team on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. The waiver order will not reset itself after each week. Choose strategically.

3. The person with the first draft pick will automatically have the last waiver claim. The person

drafting second will have second to last claim and so on.

4. There are no limits on the amount of waiver/free agent claims that can be made in a season.

VI. Trades

A. Trades will be allowed from the end of the draft until the trading deadline as outlined in the

league settings page.

B. All trades will be approved unless there is collusion involved. Nobody should tell you how to run

your team.

C. As soon as the commissioner sees the trade, he will review and approve it. There will be no

waiting periods.

D. There are no limits on the amount of trades you can have in a season.

VII. Regular Season

A. The season schedule will be generated automatically by ESPN based on the divisions.

B. All franchises are responsible to make sure their lineups are updated before kickoff of the first

game of the week. No exceptions will be made.

C. In the event of a computer failure prior to the start of a given week’s games, a franchise owner

must contact the commissioner prior to kickoff of the first game and inform of him of the situation

and the subsequent lineup change(s). If the commissioner receives the lineup change(s) in a

timely manner, the change(s) will be made. The commissioner must then post notification of the

manual lineup change(s) on the message board and/or contact the opposing franchise owner via

phone/email within one hour of the start of the first game of said week.

D. The regular season will end after the completion of week 13.

VIII. Playoffs

A. The three-round playoffs will take place during weeks 14-16.

B. There will be 6 playoff teams. They will be the 6 teams with the best overall records in the

league. The playoffs may/may not have 3 teams from each division.

B. The first place team in each divisions will be awarded a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

C. Seeding is based on regular season records and the subsequent tiebreakers outlined by ESPN

and are generated automatically by our league serrvice. Playoff seedings are not debatable.

D. The two losers of the second round of playoffs will keep score during week 16 to decide the 3rd

and 4th place finishes.

VIIII. Payouts

1st Place – $200

2nd Place – $50

3rd Place – $ 20

of the season.
