    INDUSTRY PROFILE

Established in 1982, Toyo Springs was setup nearDelhi in Rai, Sonepat, Haryana (India) underentrepreneurship of Mr.P.K.Sharma. Over the lasttwo decades, Toyo Springs has fast emerged on

the horizon of Multileaf and Parabolic Springs asa leading manufacturer. Toyo's successfulendeavors truly reflects on its clientele with OEMlike TATA MOTORS, MAHINDRA, MARUTI SUZUKI,

SWARAJ MAZDA, VOLVO, SCOOTERS INDIA,ASHOK LEYLAND and exports to USA,EUROPE,AUSTRALIA.

    MANUFACTURING SYSTEM

TOYO Springs has a highly qualified team of

    professionals especially trained by technical

partner DAEWON CORP of South Korea.

TOYOs design department uses 2D & 3D CAD

programs such as AutoCAD, CATIA, PRO-E and

stress analysis is done by ANSYS.

    HEAT TREATMENT

Heat treatment is a process which is used to

change the physical and chemical Properties

    of a material.

Heat treatment involves heating at very high

temperatures so that hardening or softening

    of material is obtained.

Heat treatment is an important operation in

    imparting high mechanical properties.

    Annealing

Annealing is a process in which first heating of

metal is done and then cooling is done at

slower rate so that refined microstructures are

    formed.

Here heating is done to a point where

    recrystalization takes place.

    PURPOSE OF ANNEALING

    To reduce hardness.

    To relieve internal stresses.

    To improve machinability

To increase or to restore ductility

    To refine grain size

To reduce or eliminate structural inhomogeneity

To prepare steel for subsequent heat treatment

    Hardening

Hardening is a process in which steel is heated

to austenite temperature and then quenching

is done in water oil or molten salt baths.

In the manufacturing of leaf springs hardening

is done by heating material from 850 to 950 C

    QUENCHING

Quenching is a process in which cooling of

material is done at rapid rate. This process is

done so that martensite transformation of

    material is obtained.

Quenching is done by heating it from 350 to

500 C and after that it is cooled rapidly in oil

and when cooling is done then its hardness isincreased.

    TEMPERING

Tempering is a process in which heating is

done to increase the toughness of material

and this is done after hardening so that some

extra hardness that occurs in a material can be

    reduced

    ADVANTAGES

    Residual stresses are relieved

    Ductility is improved

Toughness is increased Higher the tempering temperature more will

be the residual stresses due to which hardness

is reduced and toughness is increased.
