The Adult I Bible study for the summer quarter began June 5 at 9:15 AM in the conference room. Lessons are based on the Uniform Series which is shared around the world in Christian education. This quarter, which will conclude on August 28, includes studies in the Old Testa-ment books of Joshua, Judges and Ruth with a focus on our relationship with God as a commu-nity of faith. Join in for a study of what it means to live out the love of God in community.

In July, Van Rhodes will be leading a Monday night Bible study on the Letter to the He-

brews. This will be a six-week study, beginning on July 11 and ending on August 15. Time

will be 6:30-8:30 PM at the church in the Fellowship Hall.

In studying Hebrews, we also will delve into the parts of Exodus and Leviticus dealing with

the original Tabernacle, priestly office and sacrifices that God instructed Moses to institute.

This will aid us in understanding what the writer of Hebrews is illustrating: first, that those

precepts pointed directly toward Christ Jesus; second, that they were temporary, inferior to,

and superseded by Jesus’ perfect sacrifice.

Yard Work Appreciated

Thank you to Christopher Garcia, Austin Dail, William Burns, Fred O’Keeffe, Gary Bill and Deborah Dail for all the hard work on the church lawn and flower beds. Great team work!

Kitchen Update Currently we are at a “pause” in our progress on the kitchen renovation as we secure a plumber to install our new sink and faucets and to repair the plumbing. We are hopeful

of having this work completed in the very near future.

The kitchen is fully operational and we are delighted

with our new appliances, cabinets and flooring.

The kitchen fund stands at $20,882.68 as of June 26. We estimate that we still need approximately $2,700 to

complete the work in the kitchen.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed toward this project.
