Summary of our recommendationsOur final recommendations propose that HaringeyCouncil should have 57 councillors.

We have considered all of the comments we received inour draft recommendations consultation, and have beenpersuaded to make some changes to ourrecommendations. We are recommending that thereshould be 15 three-councillor wards and six two-councillors wards. The boundaries of all wardsshould change, none will stay the same. An outline ofthe proposals is shown in the map to the right.

The areas most affected by changes to ourrecommendations are where our two-councillor wardsfor Alexandra Park, Bounds Green, the Gardens andHermitage areas, Muswell Hill, Seven Sisters and StAnn’s have enabled us to reflect the evidence of thecharacter and communities of Fortis Green and theHarringay Ladder in our ward boundaries. We have alsoresponded to comments about Hornsey Vale to makechanges to our recommendations there.

An outline of the proposals is shown in the map to theright. A detailed report on the recommendations andinteractive mapping is available on our website at:www.lgbce.org.uk.
